First, it's from Hot Air, which is the perfect name for that place. Second, from a Rolling Stone article that was written two years ago, a member of his unit blogged (since deleted) about what a bunch of fuckups were in it. Are these some of those fuckups slagging on Bergdahl? I wonder if one of them is the guy who pisses in a Gatorade bottle instead of using the restroom and had a hangup about Diet Coke. Were they the ones who went out on patrol in baseball caps instead of proper headgear? Remember, the military had dropped their requirements and started accepting people who would be less than desirable that in the past. His unit probably had some of those people in it and these ones slagging him just might be some of them.

I'll wait for the military to review his case and decide what is what before forming my opinion on Bergdahl. Unlike too many Americans I'm patient like that and feel no need to rush to a judgement that I may later regret. Our soldiers deserve that, no matter what. The military has the best interests of the service in mind while I question if these soldiers are thinking of the service or if they are the fuckups who only have their own best interests/agenda in mind.

Anyways upon hearing he was the last American POW, I'm okay with the trade. A deserter like him should be near the last out, and he was. So whatever. Obama should have had permission from congress.

Its a complicated matter you are equally as guilty of jumping to conclusions as the repubs. From the rolling stone article, which is the only good thing posted around these parts.

Officially, Bowe remains a soldier in good standing in the United States Army. He has continued to receive promotions over the past three years, based on his time in uniform, and he now holds the rank of sergeant. Unofficially, however, his status within the military is sharply contested. According to officials familiar with the internal debate, there are those in both Congress and the Pentagon who view Bowe as a deserter, and perhaps even a traitor. I do think the evidence points to him being a deserter. He is afterall the last POW which is why we had to trade such a steep price for him. Obama shouldn't have gone over congresses head. There is no way to justify that.
