Oh, you mean like those in this thread who consistently bash Christians on this forum? Thanks for clarifying!

Christians tend to be intolerant of all other religions and that is a problem. anyone who claims "i am right and everyone else is wrong" is an idiot which is reflected in athiests as well as Christians. Buddhism is the only organize religion i am aware of that welcomes everyone to worship alongside them, no matter what they believe. of course you are a Christian apologist as hardcore as you are a Bush apologist.

Got it. You've made it clear that its okay to belittle certain groups and not others. Excellent!

i did not belittle anyone and must i remind you that Sunday morning is the most segregated time in the US.

WTH kind of statement is that? Segregation was forced on people. People have the CHOICE of going to Church on Sunday morning.

read the dictionary before you post false statements...

1: the act or process of segregating : the state of being segregated
2 a: the separation or isolation of a race, class, or ethnic group by enforced or voluntary residence in a restricted area, by barriers to social intercourse, by separate educational facilities, or by other discriminatory means.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/segregation

that makes you both a bigot and liar, what now?

Why is that controversial? It obviously depends on the group, and whether it is a group joined by free will or one that a person is born into without choice. You have to actively join the KKK, you generally don't pick your gender or sexuality. Is it ok to make fun of one religious group but not another? No, they are all equal in my book.

Well, it's actually a pretty famous quote. But like Palin says, books r 4 burnin not lurnin!

"Martin Luther King, Jr. shamed his Christian brethren in 1963 with the words 'we must face the fact that in America, the church is still the most segregated major institution in America. At 11:00 on Sunday morning when we stand and sing and Christ has no east or west, we stand at the most segregated hour in this nation.'"

Well thank you for proving you don't understand that quote in the slightest.

glance down at your palm and then rapidly bring your hand up until it makes contact with your forehead resulting in a satisfying smaking sound. repeat as needed.

The only thing proven was that 1) you never heard of a famous quote, and 2) your reading comp is as shitty as ever, since I offered zero personal opinions about the quote in my post and merely quoted the source to address your reaction (WTH kind of statement is that) to alien's use of it.

How my merely posting a quote to show you what alien was talking about "proves" my understanding or lack thereof is a magical trick only your mind is able to manufacture.

But now that I've said my piece, let's go back to you. Please articulate how my posting the quote shows that I don't understand the quote. Please tell me you're not going to try to work my disdain of Palin into it. Because that would be REALLY funny.

An imperfect metaphor, but joshsquall's objection is still stupid. The complaints about gay-bashing seem to come to the surface when gay-bashing moves from being a belief to actually taking action against gay people (like banning gay marriage). "Holding contempt" for Christians, if that's what's going on, has so far not yielded any movement to limit the rights of Christians. Negative views of homosexuality, on the other hand, seem to frequently lead to laws that limit the civil liberties of gay people. They may not be banning homosexuality, but they're a lot closer to that than they are to banning churches.

Try re-reading what Cerpin posted. He specifically referred to Christians. Therefore, he was just doing what is done here on a daily basis.

And please, don't lecture me on how to be "more like a Christian" or analyze my "problems" when you don't know the first thing about either.

I'm not claiming to be a victim, just pointing out the hypocricy in yours and others' vews on Christianity vs Homosexuality when it comes to who is actually a victim.

I referred to some Christians, renob. I don't have a problem with Christians in general -- just Christians like you. It's your arrogance that interprets attacks on your personality as attacks on Christianity in general. Seems my claim has been bolstered by yet another datum.
