Like how they invade islands/islets/shoals from the neighbors for "safety" for the common good. Or how they won't militarized those islets/islands but now they are putting weapons on those same places.

There is no indication that the incident occurred other than on the Chinese skipper's initiative. I'm pretty sure that the Chinese govt wishes it had never happened.

Regardless someone under the patronage of the PRC took the probe, and how that gets resolved involves the relative might of the parties in that relationship.

The point was these incidents/situations are handled based on the power dynamics of the relationship. Like for example the differences if this were some other two parties involved. It's high level politics, not anything the dummies in this thread can ever understand.
