This is true for almost everyone other than the Ret Pally. They're more like FOTW as their time in the sun didn't last very long at all especially relative to a few other classes.

I've been laughing off the zombie invasion just making it out as more of an annoyance than a hindrance. That all changed last night. On work nights I try to do a couple of things the main one of which is to be efficient in everything I do. I finally ended my night of leveling on the lock and hearthed... to an inn full of zombies at Area 52.

All I wanted was to log out of the game and get my rested xp bonus. It took me close to 30 minutes to finally get in there and log out. Every time I tried I would end up in combat and become a zombie. I was not happy.

BTW, I've never played a pally nor understand them much... as a rogue, do I evasion or cloak against them as my 'oh shit' button? Basically I'm asking if it should be anti-melee or anti-spells or both?

Crusader Strike and Divine Storm are considered melee attacks (even though DS deals holy damage right now). I'm pretty sure Judgments are spell-based though, so you'd need to resist them.

I still think the Zombie thing is funny, but that is most likely only because I do not play WoW much right now beyond logging in to raid. I logged in last night to kill the new kara boss and do some quests which was fun, but that was it. It would appear that they took the Zombies a bit too far and they removed too many healers. Beyond that I would say it is fine. Small changes could make a big difference to the annoyance factor.

Heh, a very similar thing happened to me last night. I couldn't sleep, so I decided to do a little more levelling on my Warlock (I'm at 46.5 now, so making decent progress I think). When I finally felt tired enough to go to bed, I felt like just hitting Ironforge as that's where I wanted to be next time I start up, but it took me forever just to get to the flight master as I kept getting attacked by zombies and turning undead, then dying, then having to run back to my corpse. Ugh, very annoying, almost as annoying as getting ganked repeatedly...actually, forget that, nothing is as annoying as getting ganked repeatedly.

def not fine
its really fucked up when you port into org and are either dead or a zombie before you even load

I've been very open minded about the event and was usually the first person to tell folks to stop QQing about shit (I mean hell, if we QQ too much.. Blizzard will stop doing World Events 🙁 )

But yeah, I found myself avoiding ALL majhor cities, and just floated above Shat on my broom just so I wouldn't get dinged by another damn zombie.

Thing is.... they managed to do something they haven't done since WoW went retail.. they affected the Game World (be it positivly or negativly) and I think that's actually cool.

Anyhow, I think the zombie issue will probably be resolved today or tomorrow.

Yeah, I just stayed away from the larger cities, then I went to darnassus...dammit! The quest people were undead, trying to kill me....so I just logged and said screw it.

the zombie crap is getting anoying as fuck, i thought it was pretty funny when someone logged in last night and asked "WTF is everyone in undercity" UC seems to be the only place immune to the zombies Shat Org and TB are basicially impossiable to go to and silvermoon is bad at times as well

I was actually just about to ask you about those gloves. They seemed better to me, especially since I'm using the studios wraps still and I have almost no use for crit as affliction. Get the 15 rune gloves for sure?

You know what I hate... people that think that MC and BWL had an attunement. It's called a shortcut if you can still summon someone in without being "attuned." People actually tried to argue with me about it ~_~.

Yes. I believe that doing things like increasing the amount of time it takes to become a zombie and adding some more healers could help fix that kind of problem.

well haste isnt that great for aff, so its prob a wash for you. Studious has more damage and crit which helps with pandemic and SB spam

but yo ucoudl get them, the runes are usless after you get the tabard anyway

they did used to have an attunement

MC - you had to go through BRD and touch some stone down there before the dude would port you

BWL - you had to kill General Drak in upper Blackrock

His point was that you could "technically" zone into UBRS for BWL and BRD for MC without getting the "attunements".

That's how we did MC back in the day 😀 Ahh the memories of 40 people going through BRD 😱

everyone refered to them as attunements, you still lose arguement

No, because unlike Ony, you don't have to do them.

EDIT:

They're two totally separate concepts. One allows you to enter a portal (or even accept a summon), the other just allows you to use some "super secret" method of entering, because Blizzard never realized that forty people going through BRD wasn't a great idea 😱.

EDIT 2:

Don't even try to justify it because the MC quest is called "Attunement to the Core"!!1!

Thinking about it... that's probably the only reason they're called attunements. Hell, attunement even brings up the red squigglies on Firefox 😱! Especially since we used to ask, "You do the attunement quest?" or "You do the MC attuement (quest)". In comparison, they are still not required, so I demand that the old TBC things be changed in terminology if you insist that these old school things are attunements!

<-- is really tired 'cause he didn't sleep.

EDIT 3:

Mostly argued cause some dude was requiring it. I doubt most newer players even do it (most of my guys did), so chances are you will get more people willing to go if you don't make it a requirement. I believe a few of the mobs in there are 62, so locks can use them for soulshards.

I agree with you both actually. They aren't technically attunements, but at the same time, doing them "attunes" you so you can use the shortcuts.

I was mostly just being a picky ass about it in Trade and some douche dared to call me the "dumbest player ever"... I bet he's not even out of neutral with Hydraxian Waterlords (not something I really like to recall... although I do kind of want to hit exalted with them as I'm only 2/3 through revered), so he can just shut his yapper!

You're right now, but you were wrong for a long time. AFAIK, you were able to summon into instances in very early WoW, then it was removed like two years ago? Then it was reinstated in patch 2.4?

So what does it matter if you could summon or not? You couldn't get summoned into BWL, but you could get summoned to right outside the entrance. You still had to be attuned to get into BWL though..

That was just an example... you could still be the loser that had to run through UBRS/BRD to get in 😛. You know, that would've been an interesting question to ask them... why did they put the portals in there? They obviously realized it was an issue and made a fancy yet awkward way around it (jumping through a window 😛). It was always funny when someone thought they were attu... did the quest, and they just jumped straight into the lava .

Don't tell me that none of you had that one person that started raiding with you that forgot that they weren't attuned and you had to run them through 😛. I remember it... especially on "Bring Your Alt Day."

I hate attunements. If content is 'tuned' properly then it will attune itself. No need to make people jump through hoops just to walk in and find out they suck. Let them walk in and get smacked back to Kara.

lol they save me repair money... we were doing TKE and the tanks couldn't jump off the top level on Al'ar ~_~. I was all sheeping on my mage and someone was breaking it, so I eventually just said screw it and stopped trying to resheep =x.
