I knew the boots pretty quickly overall... well, at first I thought they were Mongoose Boots, since I remember them from Pre-BC (my rogue was my main and I remember thinking how terribad they were compared to Shadowcraft which were "free"). I found Wanderer's after expanding my search a little bit. It took me almost half an hour to do today's because of that blood elf. I had the other four in about 6 minutes. The outriders threw me off for a second as I expected it to be Warsong Gulch, but after getting Earthbind Totem (just happened to guess it was that one rather than Stoneclaw), I realized that it could also be the faction and ta-dah. But personally, I think the Warsong Outriders screenshot should be the base where the Horde entrance portal to WSG is in the Barrens.

So I'm poking around at the new warrior talents and I'm thinking Titan Grip may actually be used now rather than a DW 1H build... but there's another reason. Bloodsurge makes it so your slam will be instant after you get a bloodthirst critical strike, but frankly, slam was always worthless for a fury warrior, because it's based off weapon damage, has a cast time and resets yer swing timer. Well, since it's instant removes the second and using Titan Grip removes the first problem... but I'm not sure if Blizzard got rid of the swing reset... I thought they were planning on it?

The build I was lookin' at is: http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=LG0f0fVZVx0VxcRVuoxst -- there are a few points that may be worthwhile to move around and I still don't know how efficient Titan Grip is since I don't have the beta.

My WoTLK account is going to waste but it's my fault for not having multiple high level characters to test out. I play a rogue and their talents are very, very lackluster at the moment. When I saw the inscriptions for the rogue, they were very unimpressive compared to other classes, mostly the priest's inscriptions. I'm still waiting for the talent/ability review for the rogue. I'm hoping they revamp hungering blood as I want to go full assassination for PvP.

I thought some of the rogue glyphs were pretty good, but I was looking at them from a PVE perspective.

Oh and if it's going to waste, you could let meeee use it :D.

EDIT: I'm tempted to forgo getting two 1H weapons my warrior and just doing lots of AV to get two 2H weapons instead... in wait! :D. (I also don't feel like doing EotS /shudder )

Some weekend updates.

Blue discussion and responses and raid buffs and other related changes.

Interesting pic, not really of the new armor, but does that other item actually exist in game?

And these makes the world PvP site a bit more interesting:

Update 18:15 CET - Lake Wintergrasp was slightly upgraded in this version and looks nicer, also.

All the players in the zone now get 7500 honor and 150 arena points when their faction capture the fortress.
The fortress now contains a Strand of the Ancients Battlemaster, a teleporter to Dalaran, and the PvP rewards vendors.

This may not belong here. But if anyone has a rarely played lvl 70 character they might be interested in letting go of, I would be interested in talking to you.

No new blue clues yet but they do have some of the high end dungeon drops posted now that the 80 cap is in place and the peeps have finished leveling up. I didn't glance at any of the screenies, but some of the items were listed as badge items so you can probably start reading the details about the wrath version of the badges.

an entire zone dedicated to full-time pvp with those great rewards would be awesome.

also they still speak of rogues giving no raid buffs... and that's because they're supposed to be the ultimate dps outputters... but as we see now, that's only true in T6, which only a very small % of the population are. Can't they throw us a bone... like even 1% melee haste for the raid would be decent. I play my rogue in TK/SSC and feel so segregated.. no buffs & fights incl. trash are way more ranged friendly.. I feel like I need to use my lock to even contribute despite similar total dmg. If they wanted to capture the essence of a lone rogue/assassin being in the shadows, they've done it. Too bad it's not any fun unless you're pvping.

I'd say at bare minimum they need at least 2 months of week with the cap at 80. To make it to store by turkey day gives them just slightly more than that, but not by much. If they can't make it by the beginning of christmas sales though, I would expect to see them delay it to january again. With all that said, I see they 4th aniversary date as the likely release date, and there will probably be many late hours required at blizz HQ by halloween to make it so.

Ya, unless they drastically raise the pvp item prices, that's a pretty nice reward for playing the zone pvp.

or let expose armor stack with sunder

I wouldn't be surprised if we come to find that many more encounters are melee friendly in WotLK raids. Blizz knows that is an issue.

Well, I can say that one fight where you gotta keep moving is more melee friendly than caster friendly (unless you're an affliction warlock) :p.

Keep entering contests trying to win beta keys... maybe I'll be lucky!

Basically what I meant is that there are a good number of fights in TBC where being melee can be a bigger challenge to stay alive (including trash) than it is for ranged classes. Yet, you rarely see times when being ranged is more difficult than melee. I don't think that it is at the point of being a huge problem or anything, but the issue is that more variety would be nice when it comes to that sort of challenge.

other then the lower threat ceiling for mele 110% vs 130% for ranged i fail to see a T6 boss other the Azgalor where being in mele range has any other downsides

and i think they fixed his Rain of fire a few patchs ago

but i agree ++ more fight variety

go go heigen dance

Hmm maybe they could give rogues a poison that could provide a debuff on a mob that does something... kind of like raising physical damage like the Warrior's Arms talent Blood Frenzy.

Most of my thoughts on this matter involve T5 encounters and earlier. The fact that we saw less of these issues in the T6 raids after the encounters were fixed is another reason why I believe we will not see hardly any of these issues in WotLK. Blizz is learning.

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.

We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:

New class spells and talents
Stormwind Harbor
Barbershops in capital cities
Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades
Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles
Guild calendar
Hunter pet skill revamp
New profession: Inscription

As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We?ll post the full patch notes as soon as they?re available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.

Some news today.
