Does that even happen often enough to merit resil being arena/bg only though? I heard that even on PvP servers this sort of thing is a bit rare.

Considering that Blizz is trying to promote world pvp more, I just think that such a change would be a move in the wrong direction.

I leave my pvp gear on while farming / dailying. I've been attacked before by people who are in their resil gear looking to grief people. Quite sad that it's come to this, but then again I was never for resilience to begin with.

Just saw this too.

No other warlock nerfs are planned for 2.4. One of the things we look at is class representation in arenas (although normalized for class popularity). In this particular chart, a value of 100% means the class is represented as we'd expect, a value over 100% means the class is represented that much more often than we'd expect, a value below 100% means they're represented less than we'd want (obviously this chart doesn't include a spec breakdown in any way).

2v2 3v3 5v5
Druid 276.0% 184.0% 80.5%
Hunter 43.0% 50.2% 43.0%
Mage 8.7% 96.0% 96.0%
Paladin 19.7% 29.5% 147.4%
Priest 113.3% 164.8% 185.4%
Shaman 37.8% 50.4% 138.6%
Rogue 144.2% 175.1% 61.8%
Warlock 149.2% 93.2% 111.9%
Warrior 130.4% 90.7% 79.3%

Locks are doing pretty well overall, but what had us worried was that it appeared to us a month ago or so as though warlocks were on an uptrend. However, the evidence is strong that that trend is reversing, which means significant nerfs aren't really what we want right now (we really don't know where those numbers will settle down).

Edit: one other detail regarding the chart, this one is set at 2200+ rating.

That Paladin number is so surprisingly low for 2's and 3's... I remember when Paladin + Warrior/Warlock was the shit.

Oh and two of the alchemist stones have been changed as well:

52 Spell Hit is now 63 Damage and Healing
54 Crit Strike Rating is now 108 Attack Power

Oh and Mass Dispel affects 10 friendly and 10 not-so-friendly targets now.

Whats the easiest way to gain rep with sha'tar, also which instances give sha'tar rep?
Looked it up on wowdb but they didnt give specific mob names and/or values etc...

Sha'tar rep is gotten from running the Tempest keep instances (Mechinar Botanica and Arcatraz) as well as various quests in netherstorm

The awesomeness that is Skullcrusher boned us once again 🙁 Our raid was delayed by about 40 minutes or so because of the Authentication issues around 7PM EST last night. Then.. as we're busting our way up to Council around 10:45 or so... the instance servers crashed.. kicking half our raid from BT.

Le Sigh.. Skullcrusher is due for a hardware overhaul IMO

No mobs give Sha'tar rep and only a handful of quests will actually give it. Turning in Arcane Tomes or Fel Armaments will also give Sha'tar rep until you're honored. If you're looking for quests that give Sha'tar rep, start with the Consortium guy in Area 52. His quest line leads to "Breaking into the Arcatraz" which will provide Sha'tar rep (also the quest you hand in just before you get that one does as well). Also, if you kill that blood elf with the entourage in Shadowmoon Valley, the quest line that you get from his journal will eventually provide Sha'tar reputation.

As for instances, only Tempest Keep instances provide Sha'tar reputation. It's nice to do these after someone kills Kael'thas because then you get a 10% reputation bonus 😀. Supposedly Botanica is the best for reputation.

To my knowledge, all of WoW crashed last night. I know Alleria crashed and my friend that was on Lightning's Blade said that he was disconnected as well. I don't remember when this happened though and I don't think I was playing around 11PM.

Doesn't the amount of spell hit to spell damage seem kind of low to you though? Heck, the healing piece provides around half as much damage (it's 102, 34 or something like that)!

This is looking really bad for me in terms of future nerfs. 🙁

I hope this LB coefficient bullshit and the speed reduction will even it out in the way they are hoping so it ends there.

no cause they are budgeted differently, 63 spell damage makes it the highest static spell damage trinket in the game, for those that can make it its great, the crusade card gives basicially 80 constant spelldamage if you can keep th eproc up which is cake for some classes,

itll put this trinket in the top 5 for some classes behind ones from illidan and ZA

Hey Anubis, about those two trinkets: Should I just buy the Darkmoon Card, or do you think that new stone would suffice? Keep in mind the +40% from mana pots on that trinket too, which will be nice.

untill 2.4 hits the Darkmoon crusade card is the 3rd best Aff lock DPS trinket.

Skull from illidan -> one from ZA -> Darkmoon card -> Icon of silver crescent

if you have the 1000-1500G to spend on it go for it, you wont replace it for a long time, as the ZA trinket is a myth IMO and yea killing illidan is kinda hard, its drop rate is also bad

in 2.4 i "think" timbals focusing crystal is better however im not totally positive and it might get nerfed like the lightning cap did

the new alc stone will prob fall right below the darkmoon card in 2.4

The Blessings deck goes for 2k on my server 🙁 I have 3500, but I'd really rather not spend it on 1 item, especially when I need to make my Frozen Shadoweave and Spellstrike still.

I need 10 more badges for the Icon of the Silver Crescent, looks like I'll farm for my primals and additional money.

2k ouch 🙁 and i thought the 1250 i spent on mine was bad, yea i wouldent drop that much on it, makeing FSW and spellstrike is relativily cheap, its really easy to just farm all the mats and trade CDs, you can normally sell/trade PMC to just buy more of teh cloth you need, i woudl do that first, itll be a much bigger upgrade to you then the trinket, however if you are doing gruuls i would NOT make the FSW shoulders because T4 is better
