Im away from my computer for the weekend but i got to play it on the xbox today. It was much smoother and things felt much better on the xbox. I got a ton more kills as well because of the auto aim.

On the xbox, there isnt that weird line in the middle of the windows on the mg so Im guessing its a bug on the PC.

The game is amazingly fun, Im just waiting on the fixes to make the game just feel was crisp as it was on the xbox demo.

the black line goes away once you shoot, its a bug of them not removing the window if the MG is there

so far, i'm not too impressed. infantry vs infantry combat has nothing on MW. there's something odd about mouse movement, something is not smooth about it.

I'm not noticing anything weird. but with some of the lag issues its hard to tell sometimes

I am really liking the rush gametype, and feel its way better than a cramped ass 9v9 on a small map

I feel sometimes weapons arent doing enough damage, but I imagine hardcore will fix that

well not considering bullet damage, but i'm talking more about smoothness, accuracy, mouse movement, etc... and goddamn no prone sucks ass.

Well, I've noticed all the guns have more kick in this even if you're ADS. Bursting in this game is really helpful, but once I got used to that I've had no problem killing people from range or up close. Not sure why everyone is saying the mouse movement is weird, it feels the same to me as every other FPS I play. I guess this game just fits my play-style, I do so much better in this than MW2 and I mostly play it on foot. I like the XM8C a lot for engineer, I'm using it with red dot now and I am finding it really easy to kill people with it unless I spray and pray.

EDIT: I tried the fullproc command, it helped my system out a lot (quad core phenom II). Also, for you guys who are saying it isn't smooth, have you tried turning down your settings? I mean I know people hate doing this, but the fps drops pretty fast when you're running and shooting at guys who are shooting at you. It could seem smooth when there isn't much action and then your fps may be dropping into the choppy area when you get into firefights. I used fraps some last night, and with no action going on I get around 60-70fps at 1900x1200 with 4xSSAA and 16AF and all other options turned on. It drops down to about 40-50 when I get into firefights though, so it still stays smooth for me, but it's a pretty big drop in performance. Also, has anyone noticed screen tearing with vsync turned on? It doesn't seem to be working at all for me.

Ugh... trying to get a key is ridiculous. Someone PM if you know or have one available...

auto knife kill?

Knifing is still 1 hit kill, and really easy to hit with. The saving grace of this game is that since movement is slower you don't end up with knives being better than shooting like MW2. I have seen a few people running around only knifing though, imo they should make knife kills take 2 hits, so you at least have to do some damage before you knife someone.

I wouldn't go that far. The animation you get locked into for a knife kill really makes you think about whether its worth doing or not. While actually landing a knife kill is incredibly easy, I think a combination of factors such as the animation time, overall map layout, battle flow, etc. don't make running around like some sprint knife asshole ala COD really viable.

To people bitching about unsmooth controls: Did you try all the things from that post on page 14? That fixed my problems.

Is anyone else annoyed you can't hear other players footsteps (and I don't mean because there's so much explosion and gunfire noise going on, they just don't seem to play at all)?

this.

although I must admit. my #1 killing weapon somehow is the knife. I have 38 knife kills. 19 in one match. People just werent watching their backs that game

and its not a guarentee for sure, timing is EVERYTHING

and I hit a dude in a helmet and it made a THUD and they he shot me in the face with the M9

Yeah I definitely feel knifing in BC2 is more fairly done than in MW2, the animation alone is so much slower that it makes it viable only in certain situations.

I'm getting better at this game and in particular sniping. The one issue is the mouse just seems really slow to me, I guess I'll have to turn it all the way up. I get use to it, but the first few minutes bother me. I'm running at 1900x1200 on a 5770 with high settings and 4xaa/af, and it runs really well! Slows down a bit during some intense explosions/physics but not that badly and it doesn't really stutter. Going to try to force the fullproc command if i can figure it out, and i think that will help.

I learned that if you time it just right you can hit someone parachuting in. I was sniping from the defensive side and had a clear view of the re-spawners floating in. So I decided to take a shot at one, and by george I headshotted him in mid air! Bet that guy was surprised to have died so soon, lol.

Well, that is BS. I should have read more carefully and seen that there is no single player option. WTF? Thanks for nothing, EA.

And they want people to test this game before buying it?

God, I cannot navigate the UAV hehe. I need to read up on it. Anyone down for some actual cooperative play tomorrow? I've been on all shit squads so far. (I play under erikscase).

o_O, whats wrong with having a beta test? At least this way they can see which bugs appear most often and get them fixed before it ships out. I'd much rather them do this than ship out something with potential bugs in it. Besides it helps get the word out, so I really can't see the problem here.

Followup on knifing: sprint knifing is actually slower than jog knifing. If you knife from a full sprint there's at least a half second delay where you transition from stopping the sprint to initiating the knife.

I am having trouble using my screen name ScooterLibby. It does not say the name is already in use, but that I am not using the proper a-z 1-9 format. The thing is, I am. Not sure why erikscase works but no variation of Scooterlibby will do.
