Thanks for the stats Peter!

I've got everything tweaked as far as I can. The CPUs are running on their Winter OC's (3.45GHz) and I've got all 4 video cards running with their shaders at 1900MHz !!! (apparently, that is the magic number for all of my G92 based cards. I don't have the thermal headroom for raising volts and anything over 1.9GHz starts giving me the rare EUE here and there)

I've been getting clobbered with the 511 point GPU work units :( , but at the same time I'm starting to see a few of the 1760 point SMP work units :)

It's a close race and I'm loving it.

Well, my triple-GPU machine is off for now. Was having some power fluctuations that were causing reboots, one after another, so it was pointless to keep running F@H, for fear of corrupting something.
I have both of my rigs on APC BE-550R UPSes, but for some reason, my little AMD rig (not overclocked, stock 3800+ single-core on an NV6150 mobo with 2x512MB DDR), keeps running just fine, and the UPS doesn't even click over. My triple-GPU rig (which probably exceeds the 330W that the UPS can handle) clicks over, but then reboots when it does that. It doesn't make any screaming noise like it should if it were overloaded, at least my past 280W UPS did that when I had two computers plugged into it.

With 3 GPUs running, 330W is probably barely even 1/2 the power that is being drawn.

You're gonna break something ignoring power ratings like that.

OK, I just got a new motherboard for one box... If will let me put 2 GPU's in one case, and I can then run an SMP client, its all I can afford. But it's 1700 pd more probably for $75. I won't have it until after xmas.

1700 PPD?

each of my GPUs is putting out >5000. That sounds more like one more SMP client than one more GPU client.

you didn't pay good $ for an ATI card did you?

I have 2 dual-core cpu's each doing a single GPU, I tried a non-smp client also, but the ppd addition was worst than what I lost on the GPU. If I get a motherboard that has 2 PCIE slots to replace of of those 2, then I can put both GPU clients on it, and have an entire dual-core free for an SMP. I can't seem to find a better way. Then I would have a slot open, but I can;t find a chead card that will get me decent ppd. (<100)

Added my PS3 and Mac lappy. Should be good for about 2500 ppd?

Sid, what are you getting on your Mac lappy? Mines a core2duo at 2.4 GHz.

I put the Mac on the back porch (16 F) so it should be running very cool!!

The MacBook is getting 1175 PPD here, but it is a CD not a C2D, so yours will probably do considerably better.

Thanks Sid. I downloaded fahmon and it looks like 1322 ppd on a 3065 SMP WU.

Normally I don't run fah on the PS3 cause 900 ppd for 180 watts of power doesn't seem worthwhile to me.

The GPU servers must all be down. I have 12 GPU's doing nothing ! And all the SMP are fine. And I tried shutting one down and back up, and the same thing. Been idle over an hour.

That's odd, my GPU client managed to d/l a new WU 21 mins ago

Btw with 1xSMP & 1 GPU client would I still be better off using affinity changer? (CPU's a Q6600).

MarkFW: My GPUs can't get work either. ;(

There's a long thread at the folding forum "flagging the problems" though. No one in at the lab yet though on the west coast.

AS1: I seriously doubt if affinity changer would do anything with 1xgpu and 1xsmp.

AS1: The server for ATI GPU WUs is probably a different one. So the ATI guys have an advantage!

Edit: just got GPU WUs for 2 out of 3 cards!

Ok ,thanks for that :), wierd they have different servers for different GPUs:confused:.
Hope the other server comes back up quick!

I can verify on my end that the 2 ATi cards I have had no issues and the NV card I have took awhile to get a new WU.....

They all came back. I lost 5 hours for 12 GPUs. Without a spreadsheet, thats a LOT of points, so today will be bad for me.

I calc 4000*(5/24)*12 for average 4000 ppd for 12 cards=10,000 points loss. I think thats right.. And thats a lot.

Ouch! ,that is a lot of points to lose! :(

FMC
I o/ced my graphics card today (GPU from 575 to 625 MHz so far :))& Fahmon is showing quite a boost! Early scores show I've gained about 700ppd! :) (either that or I got a good WU).
