Anybody else notice how everybody's bitching about not getting it NOW? But if they released it early and something wasn't right they'd bitch about it not working right. I'm glad valve choose to fix some issues over releasing it in a broken state... even for a beta.

I'll have to pick up the Orange box today when I get home from work. I have none of the games listed and Peggle Extreme is just icing on the cake :)

That's a shame, although IIRC one major cause of griefing in the original game was intentionally spreading infections to your teammates. Back when every 12 y/o didn't have access to broadband this was tolerable. Now a-days I would wonder.

I played it for 45 mins or so and so far it's great! The game just plays smooth and the graphics are great. Wasn't too happy about having to come back to work but ill be putting a bunch more time in to this game soon!

edit: One thing that is lame is the way to change your name though the community page. I know it's going to be for stat tracking (which is cool) but you can't have any numbers at the beginning of your name. What's 40Hands supposed to do? Spell out forty? Meh. I'm just going with Hands for now...

If I buy the Orange box today, I'll be able to play the beta and the full game of TF2 correct?

I think I've been waiting 7 years for this to come out. Do you think my PC can handle it, it runs HL2 and CS:S pretty well. It's almost 4 years old...

P4 2.5ggz
640 MB RAM
Radeon 9700TX

I know it's a POS by today's standards...

If you close all other applications and run at maybe 1024x768 I think you should be okay. Source games scale very well.

I guess I'll give it a try and what the hell, I can always buy a new comp. Too bad Halo 3 comes out next week and I'm still on Bioshock.

can't wait to try TF2 when I get home!
I bought orange box last week and since then I had to buy Peggle Deluxe for $9.99 on Steam after getting the free Peggle from the Orange box combo.

Peggle is mega fun!

Why did you have to buy Peggle if you got it for free?

i think the consensus is if your pc can run dod:s it should be able to handle this with slightly lower settings.

The free one in the orange box is only 10 levels. It maybe takes 30 mins to beat it. The full version (Peggle Deluxe) has over 150 levels. It is normally $19.99 from Pop-Cap. But Steam is running a promo on it for $9.99 right now

Are you sure it's frozen? Source games take quite some time to load the initial menu for some games.

Is it possible to pre-order ONLY TF2 (and get the Beta).. so I don't have to pay for all the games I already have?

From what I see the beta is only for the orange box purchases.

They already have prices up for individual games. It's $30 for each of those. You'd be better off getting the orange box and getting rid of the duplicate games if you have them as you see fit.
