i wonder if their pics are going to be leaked.

like that porsche girl nikki catsouras or whatever. she lost her head..literally.

I just searched for her (and I'm not the type to look up beheading videos, etc.) and it wasn't that bad. It's a crushed head... she wasn't actually decapitated.

yea basically she probably slid the car sideways right before the impact driver side first slamming into the concrete tollbarrier. head smashed like an egg, so much of it was gone you might as well call it a beheading though.

the mangled mess of these kids bodies is probably just as bad.

I think crushed heads are worse than decapitations. Severed heads all look like mannequins to me. But a crushed skull half-full with brain matter and teeth...much more disturbing.

i dunno, i find the more recognizable more disturbing. smashed is more like inhuman bits of meat...gibs, like in video game splatter:p in the nikki case it isn't just a pushed in face crushed, its more like if ur face got hit with a cannon ball and most of it got blown off.

oh, and is that a drop, or an incline that he ran into? If it's a drop, WTH is a drop doing at the end of a runway? That seems a bit... hazardous? If it's an incline... wouldn't you have seen it from far enough away to brake? An M5 has good enough stock braking equipment to come to a slow enough speed, if not stop outright, before running into it if brakes are applied immediately upon seeing there is an tall incline.

Runways end in lakes and highways and cliffs. Nothing hazardous about that; you are supposed to be flying in an airplane at that point:)

Most people can't stop looking; it's human nature.

But I'll admit, be-headings can make me wince and look away. I thought Nick Berg was bad, but there have been more graphic ones since then.

for people making short funny quips, you're talking about 5 kids who died. your attempts at quick laughs are distasteful.

as kids, we all made mistakes, stupid or otherwise. i've had my share. luckily, i've come out unscathed and have become more... experienced and wiser with age. these kids didn't. please be more considerate.

damn it! you made me look... T_T
the pictures are giving me the chills. i used to ride a motorcycle when i was 19-23ish(unsafely at that), and i'm thinking i could have easily ended up as anyone of those people in the pictures. back then, i don't think i really thought about what could happen to me (well it was more like, if i die, i die). but looking back, i can see how utterly stupid and naive that was.

if i had seen these pictures back when i was younger, i wonder if it would have elicited a change in behavior. i know they stopped showing those red asphault videos at school... maybe it just wasn't graphic enough.

I would never want to see a "partially ejected" victom of a car accident.

if there is a way to die..... going out in a fast car in a fit of speed flying into a tree is probably one of the better ways to go.

granted you are 100% dead on impact, but those 10 secs flying through the air screaming have to suck

That thread at the car forum is pretty sad when you know the guy dies in the end. People predicting that 18 year olds and 500 hp cars don't mix, etc.

I guess those ultra-safe high end cars need those airbags that the Mars rovers have. When the car detects that it's air born, bam, airbag shell around car.

Actually, you'll go out in a nice adrenaline rush, which isn't too bad. It's not like a slow and psychologically draining death where you think about your family and have time to mourn your own demise.

well its also because people have a poor idea of what accidents can really do to them. tv/hollywood give a sanitized image, even if you die, its just a forehead cut and a drop of blood.

evolution wins again

4 of those were just along for the trip, not the ones doing the dumb act.

ive been up over 120 on my bike and up at 110 in a car. i have no real desire to do that again, unless its on a track.

looking at the pics of the runway, i cant seem to find this 85 ft embankment they flew off of. looks relatively flat to me.

they got into the car, it doesn't say they were tied up or handcuffed
it is like the 9/11 hijackers, they could have stopped him if they tried

There isn't a teenager alive who hasn't done at least one thing in their lives that could've gotten them killed.

jesus, spoiled brats.

"At the young age of 18, 19, and 20, not one of those boys had a clean driving record.

Josh Ammirato: 4 tickets in 2 years (one ticket 4 days ago)

James Hime: 4 tickets, including a criminal traffic misdemeanor.

Justin Dawe: 2 tickets

Isaac Rubin: 7 tickets, one criminal traffic misdemeanor 2 weeks ago, driving while license revoked.

"
if the posted info on the m5 board is right..
