Completely assinine that the father holds the city and a company responsible for his son's stupidity. Both father and son should be permanently removed from the gene pool.

Exactly. Just put a bullet in their heads, it'll save a lot of money in the long run.

Meh... I'm pretty sure that if the option for kid is a fvcking dumbsh!t was the first option, it would be even more one-sided. People accidentally click vote before they choose

Wasn't there some robber who fell through the person's roof he was robbing, hurt his back, and successfully sued the owner of the house?

Or am I thinking of an example Liar, Liar with Jim Carey?

Summary:

Teenagers in Orlando, Fla., are leaping between 80-foot high public parking garages in a new trend called "garage jumping,"

Bargfrede fell six stories and was knocked unconscious on impact.

D'Assaro is filing a lawsuit against the city of Orlando and the private garage owner for making little effort to correct a potential deadly risk.

Courtesy of Florida.

anyone can sue.

hell, i can sue JustAnAverageGuy for posting this. doesnt mean i'll win

Since Bargfrede fell, the City of Orlando erected a partial fence but there's still room for someone to take a dangerous dive.

The family says that's not good enough and that both garages need to take responsibility before a garage jumper loses his life.

yep, america is done. game over.

bwahaaha, watch the video.

There was such a case... and the property owner lost the suit because he set up a contraction whereby the robber would fall and hurt himself. The property owner was getting robbed by the same guy over and over and set a trap. The jury found that it was intentional and not accidental. If the robber would have just fell, it would have been his own fault.. but since the owner set the trap, he was blamed and made to pay.

And just think, if that kid went out and killed somebody, he wouldn't have to face the death penalty...

But he probably would have plead insanity anyway...c'mon judge, would I have jumped if I was sane???

That's retarded, but in some counties (cities?) in Florida, you cannot have a swimming pool inside a normal FENCED yard, you have to have a SECOND fence, right around the swimming pool.

Now with crap like that - who lets them build an 80 foot tall parking garage with nothing to stop you from wandering right off the edge?
