Idon't know when that will be though. That's the best I can do.

It's not hard. You just need to go here. You only need to make a user.txt file with something like "TA Wolfsraider" TA needs to be before the user name you want to use. The txt file has to be in the same folder as the client.

The client will automatically use any and all cores available. 🙂

Wolfsraider, grab the muon bench file from here:

http://stephenbrooks.org/muon1/muon1bench.exe

Drop it in your DPAD directory, and let it run concurrent with DPAD running for 24 hrs so you get a stable number. It will generate a file called benchcsv.log, which contains the average #of mpts computed for the box. Here is an old one from my FX-55, with a slight OC:

Wolfsraider, I've tried it both ways. The update feature just will cause an occasional false high number. I left update on finally and just tossed out some highs and lows. A median value is representative, not to be confused with a mean (or average). 🙂

Just for fun, after doing a Text to Columns in Excel, here are your values:

382.655 (median value)
382.8103571 (mean value or Average)

you can see that there isn't much difference, and shouldn't be if the sample size is large enough.

Call it 382 and nobody can argue.

Ok planning on resetting the app at 6pm roughly maybe 8 pm though, what do i do just stop the benchmark delete the benchcsv file and restart after making the changes (You have to make sure sample files downloading is switched off in config.txt for this to work properly. )?

A?,are you looking at the same graph as me?😛😉 because it does ,if you compare Deleenheris XP @1.92GHz vs Thors XP@2GHz ,Thors XP is slightly faster despite a considerably FSB disadvantage.
Same again with Stephen Brooks Ath64 @2.1Ghz & Jumpings Ath64 @2.2GHz (though DPC LittleB seems to buck the trend slightly 😕 ) & again with Draxxs X2 @2.65GHz vs zs X2 @2.8GHz ,clock speed wins over FSB (just in the last case).
Im not saying that FSB has no impact but that clock speed (& architecture) is the predominant factor.

Ref cache ,if you compare my Semp 3100 @2.39GHz vs Mezocops Ath64 @2.4GHz the scores are identical despite his CPU having double the L2 cache.(Though the picture is muddied a little by differing FSB & RAM speeds).
HaloJones's Opteron @2.76GHz has a point advantage only a little more than the clock speed advantage despite 4x the L2 cache size & similiar FSB @ 276MHz (though we don't know his RAM speed).
I do admit looking back on it though that cache size effect on the Ath XPs isn't clear ,mine ,badgers & Halojones all score ~261Kpts/s despite different configs ,its as if XPs hit a brick wall at that point.Its a pitty I can't run my XPM rig at 200FSB for a proper comparision.

Inccidently the graph I linked shows benchmarks from a previous version of DPAD ,current version runs about 15% slower.

Its a e6600 2.4 but i am running it at 2.65 wee bit of an oc

sorry will try sand run it again tonight or tommorow with samples off and no gaming.

I had another interview with metro and should get results back from post office on friday, so trying ton track down letters of recomendations from past bosses this week.

Grumble grumble, I deleted the benchmark file after stopping it

I recieved an error that muon1 has stopped working.

I restarted it but it wont restart, keeps giving errors then it says quarentining the results file


over 2000kb gone.

Fixed now but GRRRRRR!!!

Redownloaded the dpad client after renmoving the old one (So started fresh)
