The graph doesn't support this. But it seems (from my own observations) that an X2 at 2.8 GHz is greater than the sum of 2 single core 2.8 GHz A64's.

I'll shoot a benchmark over as soon as I get it running with 2 GB in dual channel mode. We will see what this Toledo can really do.

Maybe I'll crank up the C2D also, as I know it's nowhere near maxed out. BTW, it's an E6300 @ 2.4 GHz with no voltage tweaking at all! ;)

Should be the same number of Mpts, but I don't want the CPU time to be wasted.

What do you change in the "config.txt" to have it only work on PhaseRotD or DecayRotB? I ended up setting mine not to download the new lattice files but was unsure what to do for specific tasks.

I have a Dual Xeon Server with 2 gig Ram that is 100% Idle and I have full permission to use it between the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM M-F and 24 hours on Sat and Sun. Aside from launching Muon1_background manually, how can I automate this? Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I often forget to start it.

Preferred lattices (comma-separated list or 'none'): DecayRotB
this is how I have mine set, but just insert PhaseRotD instead.

I could be wrong about this but shouldn't you open latticelist.txt and delete decayrotB and then change the config.txt so it doesn't download the lattice list?

Just looked at the stats @ Free-DC:

We have been outperforming Free-DC by some 3.6 million MPTS during the past 7 days ... :)
out daily avreage is some 500 000 Mpts more than Free-DC. :D

Lets hope they do not make a 10 million dump any time soon ...

Silverthorne, that would do it also, but kind of cripples the update feature.

Editing the "Preferred Lattices" line in Config.txt is the easiest and it will continue to update with new results.

about that 10million dump, it was one of those that bumped me from 10th place to 11th place. I may never regain that spot at my current rate.

Assuming its got Windows ,just copy a shortcut into 'startup' in the programs menu :)
Nice rig to use btw:) what clockspeed is it?

I'm assuming he means is there a way to start/stop the client at a specified time.
Can it be run as a scheduled task?
Being able to start/stop a client at specified times would be a great feature to have built-in for DC projects in general.

Stopping a task on schedule isn't obvious in Scheduled Tasks. I use the program "KillProcess" to stop things. All you need to know is the name of the program as it shows in Task Manager and KillProcess will stop it. On schedule.

We have outproduced Free-DC so far today, but Lauren is still ramping up.

Could we get another cruncher, or two to help our cause? :D

We are on a roll, and I think we should make a run for the #1 spot! ;)

Hey! What happened to "FLOPS Slingers" yesterday, and today Rudy Toody? :(

You were kicking some major butt!

Laughed reall y good - I like that bantering - so lets put some more steam.
I'll keep my comps @ DPAD - if TAS votes for an other project I'll just add a few comps at that task (and drop my seti-production a bit ...) :)

I got to get a C2D really soon ... or two ...

I brought my 3 FX-60s back to the fold. I was playing around with RCN for a couple of days. Then I checked Free-DC's forum and decided I wasn't going to let them win!

Fred--

PS: I haven't talked to Rex, yet, to find out what he's going to do, so FLOPS Slingers may be only at 3/4 strength for a day or so.

I switched a couple of machines from QMC to DPAD last night and I'll switch more tonight. My QMC production will take a hit, but I've got a good lead in first place! :D
