That's just weird, isn't it?!

Hmm, it must be in sync with the universe now. ;)

:) Good one, mrwizer! :D

No it is not. I will put up a poll on saturday - the usual way to decide for TAS. But: the discussion can be started anytime!
Just let me know what should go on the poll ... :D

Looks pretty good I'd say!!

By Friday I'll have another XP2000+ and my oldest workhorse, a PIII 600 on R@H as well.

Well rise4310, GLeeM, and I are all regulars on the F@H TeAm and it should be an option since it's been a while since TAS ran it, but outside of that I'm probably most interested in running more of the BOINC projects since the BOINC client is the most elegant DC interface I've seen so far.

I'm especially curious about those oddball "international" BOINC projects such as SZTAKI in Hungary, or CHRONOS in Japan, because the challenge of setting them up would be half the fun. Although I'm not sure what the rest of TAS thinks about this :)

I'm amazed in particular that amd.borg could somehow decipher poor, half-translated Japanese to get credit for the TeAm on CHRONOS :)

Hmm, isn't you required to run a specially-built v3 or something to run Chronos...

Sztaki, ah, just like LHC@Home, they haven't made their project compatible with v5 yet...

As for Folding@home, they're slowly working on their BOINC-version, so maybe they'll have an open beta ready in a couple months time...

mrwizer breakes a new TeAm-record at Rosetta@Home: more than 2 000 WUs in 24 hours!
Congratulations! and thanks - we may yet catch AMD-users! :D

Thanks. ;)

Too bad AMD is still out producing us by over 1000 a day. They are pulling away... :(

 mrwizer. i've been watching your numbers jump. nice production!

i think amdusers had their top gun on vacation or something when we caught them. that guy bob: ) just hammers it when he's on. he's like 50% of the ppd, 4000+ per day :Q

ah well, baker will fall soon and aside from the answer monkeys, there really isn't anyone else who could catch us atr the month is over and we move on.

Not a stupid question. :)

It is a mini team, still part of Team Anandtech, that switches projects every month. The goal is to let the members experience different projects, and to help out the various project teams in gaining ground for a while. We attempt to bring enough firepower with us to make a difference for a month. Every month, we vote on the next project to move to. It is a lot of fun, and you can choose to participate for a month, and then sit out the next, etc.

Take a look at the forum for TAS.
http://www.teamanandtech.net/forums/index.php?act=idx

The current project right now is Rosetta, which I see you just joined. ;)

I am sure that BMC or petrus can elaborate... ;)

Just come over to the forums, create an account. It is informal in that way. There is not an "official" list so to say. We just have a thread of who is currently participating. And we have a vote coming up this weekend I believe (Right Peter?) for next months project.

I can say that it is a lot of fun, and the members are wonderful. The forums, while less active than the main AT forums, are really friendly. And it is always fun to have a little competition now and then. ;)

Welcome newfie!
Vote?
Yupp, coming up - probably saturday morning: it is one of my pleasures to sit at the comp saturday morning and do stats, votes and to neff... with a big cup of hot tea, a peanutbutter sandwich ...
