Hey guys. Had an incident happen today that really blows my mind.

Some 18 year old kid was unconscious outside Taco Bell as me, my brother and sister were leaving the parking lot; we got out of the car instead of leaving and laid him down/called paramedics instead of letting his friends take him to some cheesy pay urgent care place across the street. We stayed until the FD took him off plus we answered some questions from the PD/FD. During this whole ordeal a (noticeably low-IQ) Taco Bell Employee came out with a rag soaked with hand sanitizer to "wake him up". We told him NO and never to suggest that again.

After the police left, my brother's food was obviously cold so we went inside to ask for a remake. The employee from before immediately asks me if I know the red haired crazy lady (my sister) out front. I blow it off and he goes "yeah shes all like Hitler EMT etc" and I tell the guy well yeah, that makes sense because shes actually a qualified EMT. I then tell my sister what he said in front of the employee while my brother asks another employee for his food to be remade. The retarded employee cuts in and refuses everything else we asked of him just out of spite, including manager number. He obviously had an IQ issue as we all arrived in the same car and he kinda saw this; why shoot yourself in the foot by even saying something like to a customer?

Anyways just wanted to let some people know about that experience today. Was sure weird and super annoying.

I ate taco bell for dinner tonight...and my tacos were soggy.

1. you shouldn't have moved him. just call the police.
2. the EMT will charge his ass a fortune. let people deal with their own problems
3. lol, you asked them to remake your food? they toss the perfectly warm food away? how long were you there?

It wasn't Taco Bell's fault your food got cold. Why should they remake it?

You don't read, do you? We had qualified people there. They did the right procedures and everyone who arrived complimented them. We removed his backpack, stopped his friends from dragging him across the street, and got him settled/laid down with sun block. Please stop being a internet armchair MD please.

k.

30 minutes. We watched the guy so his friends wouldn't take off (they wanted to flee) while the taco bell employees actually could serve customers. Some of us aren't dumb and like to make sure incapacitated people are cared for the same as we we'd like to be cared for in a similar situation.

P.S. Would you rather him stick in the parking lot in a Taco Bell? He had been there for 30 minutes and his friends were dragging him because they thought he was SLEEPING. The fucking guy was completely out of it shallow breathing eyes rolled back.

Do you even read your posts back to yourself out loud and realize how stupid you sound? Reading your posts makes my brain hurt, so I can't imagine you not noticing it.

"Taco Bell has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you purchase an item and are not 100% satisfied with the taste or quality of your food, simply return the uneaten portion to the store where it was purchased with a copy of your receipt, and you are entitled to a 100% refund."

I was refused a refund as well as a remake. That's illegal; even the other Taco Bell we went to was amazed and told us this so it's not like this is some secret thing. you have to refund me if I'm not happy.

So, I can leave a taco on my counter for three weeks, take it back to them and request they remake it? :hmm:

No, it has to be a valid receipt from a reasonable time period: not 3 days ago, etc. I think 30 minutes is plenty acceptable. I'd think anything past 2-3 hours though is frowned upon but I honestly have no idea.

The whole point is that your brother let his food get cold. How is it Taco Bell's fault that he didn't eat it within an appropriate time frame?

The quality of the food was fine....err...acceptable... at the time it was served.

That's like going to a restaurant, letting your entree be served, looking at it for 30 min then requesting it be remade because it was cold.

no. you said you laid him down and then called the paramedics. if he was unconscious, was he already laid down or in a sitting position?

Really wouldn't matter as if you pass up sitting up it's pretty much common sense to get them laid down to make sure they don't fall. If I left any details out it's because its I didn't expect people to start second guessing "we had an EMT there". Medically he was handled 110% fine and really the kid was looking at a medical bill regardless; he couldn't remember his name when he woke up. A trained EMT can handle the situation (and did). His friends when we saw him first had him propped up like a marionette. They were trying to move him to some cheesy urgent case across the street since they were all young and pretty scared to do anything......they didn't even call his parents to let them know and they couldn't wake him for 30 minutes. We asked a few questions like is he drunk etc, told them to back away and the trained EMT took over, took the kid's backpack off and propped his neck up plus moved him slightly out of the middle of the driveway as he was laying RIGHT in the middle of the entrance/exit. The only movement we did was mandatory for the safety of all around, including his own.

well then you are a good man for sticking around and helping. the request to remake your food was unnecessary.

the other day i saw a lady cleaning up broken glass on her car. i asked 'hey lady, you ok?'
she said someone broke into her car. being that i'm brown i jetted my ass outta there before the cops came. didn't feel like getting shot for no reason.

All I hear is someone crying they didn't eat their food in time and with people starving they wanted it tossed and fresh stuff made for free.

Learn2eat :(

Or better yet go buy a microwave if you take takeout it's useful.

Illegal?

How old are you?

Just because you want to ignore real life and how it works is cool. I tried finding the article that states they have to refund you but I have a feeling it's going to drag this convo in the entirely wrong direction. Just know that the cops side with the consumer as long as they aren't Batshit insane and asking for stuff. FYI, the cop was still there but I didn't bother involving them over such petty stuff.

You did the right thing but asking for new tacos is out of line, imo. they are perfectly fine, cold, and you had already made your decision to suffer cold tacos by sticking around and helping that guy.

OK, I agree with that, if it's their policy then you are within your right to bother them about it.

But illegal?

lol

Let me make this clear and say these aren't my tacos; my brother asked for those because it was his 21st birthday and all he wants before he drinks tonight is some tacos. I have no issues with him asking for new tacos considering they were hard tacos and we kinda couldn't leave after the police arrived so it's not like he could avoid them getting cold. I'm more annoyed at how the employee handled things and more importantly how he refused a refund when he legally can't do that. They have to give me a refund.....there's like, 5 murals saying this exactly on their fucking walls. "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT WE WILL REFUND YOU NO QUESTIONS ASKED".

OK, I agree with that, if it's their policy then you are within your right to bother them about it.

Yeah Illegal is a bit of a harsh word to use in this situation but if he won't take back goods that I don't want, his store says they will and he refuses to... either he's going against the store and doing something he's not supposed to be doing, or the store is breaking the agreement we made during purchasing thus making their act illegal. I'm not here to argue about semantics on a fucking fast food purchase especially on this forum. Lets use our common sense caps and not the whole overarmchair ATOT that I'm always fearing when posting these threads.

For example we've spent the entire thread talking about how asking for new tacos is wrong yet him calling my sister Hitler and crazy, etc hasn't came up once. Not only that but the employee just straight up refusing ANY service including manager numbers after this incident would typically be a fireable offense. Instead some members pick out key words and start entire arguments based on like, 1/10th the original topic; Dat ATOT.

Don't let the retards deter you. You did the right thing. Most of the arm chair whiners would have just on walking past the kid. And taco bell should have redid your food. If anything, they do guarantee satisfaction which you were not. It doesn't matter how the food got cold and if they didn't have shit for brains, they would have remade the food for you because it is the right thing to do.

Very strange...the thought of going in and asking for free food after that would have never crossed my mind.

I will say though - surprised that they turned you down

A cop is not going to get involved in your little taco dispute.

I think the funniest part is how so wrong you are.

We knew the cop who arrived as a family friend :) The only reason we didn't grab him from outside (he was filing reports in the car) was we didn't want to bother him over 4$ of tacos or drag him away when we can handle it ourselves. It's the principle and we can handle it other ways IE calling the line and telling them the entire story. We aren't rednecks and it's more satisfying getting you fired and taking a 5$ hit. Only rednecks and honey boo boo get mad over fast food employees :)
