strip club do's and don'ts? (update on page 4)

since no one else commented on this i will. you said there were "world renowed" clubs in tampa but news flash: those clubs (if they exist) are going to be 21 & up. you're wasting your money if you arent' going to a fully nude since you aren't 21 (then again i'm basing this on the club i went to in houston, and it is houston that has the best clubs in the country).

The club I worked at was within 3 miles of a race track. The girls would leave with 2-5K a night on race weekends. Average non race weekend in that area was about 500 - 1000 a weekend night. Weekdays are much lower.

These figures were after the girls paid the club owner their %.

It's an old club with maybe 5-6 dancers per night, and maybe like 20-40 ppl in the club per night (I had forgotten that I've been there twice, not once). The girls aren't that hot, but after a couple of beers and a good lapdance, you tend to care less about beauty.

The best (and first) strip club I've ever been to was Chez Paré in Montréal. That place is so clean, it didn't feel like an old perv place. I think all the lights are on all the time (I'm not positive on this, but I remember there weren't any place to "hide" like in many dirty clubs), and everyone there is kind of high class. When we went there, the bouncer sat us right besides the stage, it was nice to see them dance without paying. I didn't know that you "had" to tip to stay at the front row, I only had one or two beers for the hour we were there and no one bothered us.

You can touch the strippers in Houston, and almost anything is allowed in the champagne room, almost anything, but for a price.

THIS IS NOT A NORMAL RANGE. On race nights, the crews would show up and they would have stacks of $5, 10, and 20 and would pass them out like candy. The girls loved those weekend. Even the "blah" ones got good $$.

ONLY TIP IF THEY ARE HOT!!!!

No one will ever give you sh*t if you don't tip an ugly stripper. They shouldn't be in that business anyway. Save your $50 and don't spend any money for at least 30 min if not longer. At first just sit back and enjoy the show while scoping out the hottest dancer there and bullsh*tting with your best friend. Spend the $30-$40 for a lap dance with the hottest broad or a bed dance if they are available and be sure to tell them all it is your first time.

Then spend your other $10 on the stage tipping $1 per song if they are worthy. This way you will maximize your enjoyment over a period of time. Keep in mind, as already stated ATM's will rape you of at least $5 for withdrawls, nothing is free and there is no such thing as ice water unless you buy the bottle first.

the first club i went to was miami gold. i was 19. they made me wear a stupid ass t-shirt that said under 21 club. i didnt care. the chicks were bad. anyways, i ended up in the champagne room for a few house with liquor and this one brazilian chick. i was in love for those few hours.

It really depends on the county. Some around here are 21, some are 18. I'd suggest calling if you are concerned or have doubts.

Also, while you're on the phone, ask if they are all nude, topless, or pasties. Some states don't allow nude or topless. I believe VA is one of these. All the ladies have small pasties or wax over their nipples.

Verify it by checking with the club you want to go to. Some states are 21+ only. Others will let you in at 18 if they don't serve alcohol. Many times the "juice bars" are allowed to show more skin. It all depends on the state/town/club.

The clubs I have been in have one or more stages where the dancers "dance". The dancers may, strip clubs, or may not, go-go girl clubs, remove parts of their outfits. Typically customers give the dancers dollar bills for this. Depending on the bar the dancers may let you touch them when you give them money.

While off stage the dancers walk around and solicit "table" and "lap" dances. These dances occur out in the open, a separate room filled with chairs or couches for more than one dancer, or small booths for just a dancer and customer. During a table dance the dancer does not touch the customer. During a lap dance the dancer does everything from sitting on the customer to everything (extras).

These dances costs from $15 to $30 a song. You will get the same thing no matter how much the dances cost per song. The costs and the availability of "extras" varies with the bar.

For me, good SC etiquette is not being rude and initially keeping my hands to myself. I know some guys who need to be rude, call the dancers insulting names, and smacking them. I suspect they have unresolved anger issues with women. I keep my hands to myself. The dancer will show or tell you what is okay and what isn't. If they see that you are not an assh*le they will put exta effort in their entertainment.

How much money should bring? Bring as much as you intend to spend because if you start having a good time, you will leave the club broke.

Ok, here are my tips from my years of visit strip clubs around the US (and dating a few dancers):

Bring as much cash as as you can afford to lose so it is up to you how much. DO NOT use the ATM inside the club, enough said. If you never been to a club, sit in the back, get a drink and observe how other patrons behave and act and get the feel out of the clubs and the dancers. DO NOT act like a player, or a rich guy, or go there to get a date and all that. This is a strip club, girls go there to MAXIMIZE their wallets and minimize yours. Do not grab/touch/be rude/cursing to the dancers or you will be out of there in a heartbeat

Give the dancers tips when they are on stage. I am not saying tip everyone but don't be a cheapsake and no tip, a big NO NO.

If a dancer come to you and start chit chat and you don't like her, just say " I just hang out for now, thank you". Don't waste your time or her if you don't think you will get a lapdance from her later .

Dress casual and make yourself presentable, dancers hate to get close to guys that have BO or look like dirty old men.

Treat dancers (most of them are ok) like human beings and not some lower lifes. Most of them doing this for easy money for school or take care of kids/relatives. Not saying to be their best friend but don't go there and start throwing money around and demand to see some actions.

Just go and have fun. Spend some money, have a few drinks, give some good tips, maybe a lapdance or two, have a good time. That's all for now.


EDIT: Clubs policies are varies from place to place but most of the time, lapdances are $20 or so for about 2 to 3 minutes. You could get the special buy 1 get 1 free. Drinks are 3 to 4 bucks for sodas and higher for beers/wine/shots. Admission will depend. It will be cheaper to get in if you go during the day (most of the time it will be free or very cheap). It will cost you more if you go at night time. You can try some clubs that will let you in for free or cheap if you have same day sports ticket tub.

Ask around for some good clubs, you can tell what kind of a club by the appearance and cars parked outside. Some of the clubs such as The Men Club are very nice but can be very very expensive for your wallet.

i'm talking about good strip clubs. places like rick's cabaret and the gold cup. all those high class fancy places with the real hot girls are all 21 and up. you should call the place you plan on going to and make sure it is 18 and up before you waste a trip.
