Enh, I did the strip club thing when I was younger just like everyone else. It was nice, but knowing that they only pay attention to you so long as the money is flowing tends to take away the interest after a while. They use to have one of those wild clubs around here where they private couch dances included special things for extra money but the city it was in got wise to that sort of thing and banned all the strip bars.

Smartest thing I did was stop going and found myself a woman who loves me for who I am and not what's in my wallet.

Anyways the moral of the story is enjoy yourself, just don't waste your life away in them.

If you're going with friends, don't be the ass who buys his buddy a lap dance from the ugliest girl there. First of all, it's not enjoyable for your buddy and it's humiliating to the stripper who knows she's just being used as a joke to make your buddy uncomfortable just so you can get a good laugh at his expense. If you're going to be the ass who does above mentioned act, at least make it up to your buddy by buying him at least two lap dances from the hot strippers. That's at least two you gorilla wielding fool.

Whatever you do, don't hand your wallet to the stripper, as a friend of mine did... It was his first time and he was too nervous to get money out so he handed his wallet to the stripper. We had to tackle her to get it back for him...dumbass.
 
PS - one of my wife's friends from work would go to strip clubs to meet men. She's about 35 and very pretty and her philosophy was that a stip club would be a great place to meet single, interested men. I have a feeling she must have stripped in the past.
 
Wear dark colored pants, and wet naps are your friend, particularly good advice for a newbie.

Everyone else pretty well covered the do's & don'ts

I tend to tip virtually all the women, it's hard, nasty work, and they usually have a fee to pay the club for every shift they dance.

I also make reservations for lap dances with the hotties while they're on stage after I've seen the show & tipped them a dollar. That way you can blow off the chicks that come around asking if you want a lap dance, telling them you're waiting on Twanda to finish her set... Some of the women can be pretty insistent, gives you an out if you want one.

I prefer the dives with good ratings.

Policies vary with the club & local municipalities, YMMV (your mileage may vary).

Strippers are a trip, I have a pro in law that could pick them up pretty easily, might have had someting to do with drugs (& him using/having a lot of them).

Also, interesitngly enough, a significantly higher percentage of strippers are lesbians or bi than the general population.

Not necessarily. It all depends on the quality of strip club. Went to one and my cousin (after seeing the girls) asked the bouncer if he gave him 5 bucks, would he let my cousin leave?

If you are ever in Memphis, you have to go to Platinum Plus. It is located on Mt. Moriah Rd right off I240. I have been there a few times with friends. Anything and everything is going on there. Somtimes there will be as many as 5 girls on stage just munching like crazy. If you are going there for a bachelor party, don't wear underwear. They put you on stage and basically hump your face and then reach down and rip your underwear out of your pants. They then proceed to beat you with about 4-5 belts. Dances usually run from $20-40. We paid a girl $20 and she did so crazy stuff right there at the table.

By the way, the Beale Street Music Fest is coming up and has a great lineup. You can come and watch great music acts and great strippers.
