Not sure if you realize it, but they have had gamepads for the pc for quite a long time. I even still have my 10+ year gravis pad in the basement.

I know there are gamepads for pc. I own several, but none of them are the right fit for a fighting game. I haven't picked out which one I'd use, mainly because they're all so damn expensive. So when I look at that expense, plus the expense of the game, I have to keep putting it off until I have enough money.

i have a logitech rumblepad2 and xbox controllers, and supposedly xbox d-pad is no good for this game, but how about my rumblepad?

the thing with madcatz fight pad is it will be good only for SF4 since it lacks analog sticks. and i don't want 3 gamepads cluttering.

Maybe I'm just use to the arcade, but I hate the pad, I have a bitch of a time pulling off fire balls with Ken. People say this pad is a lot better for SF than the standard Xbox360 controller. Which is scary because I think it sucks baaaad.

Yeah, it makes his health suck and attack points go down.

ok, i tried the game with my rumblepad 2, the d-pad is okay, i was surprised they even let you control with analog stick but its hard to do anything more complicated than fireballs with it. dpad still not as responsive as i'd like but i suppose this is better than xbox controller's d-pad.

runs pretty smooth with v-sync on btw.

it is possible to get really good with the keyboard. Because directional buttons are actually 100% precise and FASTer on the keyboard vs the joystick.

Inside a joystick, there are only 4 switches akin to WASD. The difference here is The time it takes to press a Key on the keyboard is FAR less than the travel between the stick and activation of each microswitch. THUS keyboard if mastered should theoretically be superior to the stick because the physical constraints and the fact that you won't have the IFFY diagonal recognition problem in a joystick where it has to read down and left/right. on the keyboard you'd just press down/left or down/right simultaneously.

YES,, REMEMBER GUYS with CATALYST "ATI" you must set AA to "use ingame option" for it to work with SF 4

Whenever I use the keyboard to play various fighting game on simulators (MSH, SF2A mostly), I map my direction to the arrow keys and attacks to the numpad 1-6. As long as you have a good keyboard without keypress combination issues, keyboard input for a fighting game can be pretty responsive.

Anybody tried online play yet? I'm waiting for reviews. I picked up the fightstick a few weeks ago, but I've been too busy to do anything with it.

rumblepad 2 vs xbox 360 for PC: xbox controller's dpad was not as reliable as others said. it often jumped when i tried to do fireballs. it didn't do this on the rumblepad 2. its still playable with the xbox controller but won't be fun since you can't consistently pull off moves, which was hard enough with the rumblepad.

in the end, both controllers are meh for this game. not for just the dpad, but for not having 6 buttons all next to each other. might be best to get the madcatz bundle.

I'll give it a go with the keyboard when I get it. Or I'll get a saturn gamepad for usb.

Don't feel bad, I can't even win one round on easy with the keyboard because I suck so much.

Yeah second form Seth can be pretty cheap but once you get the hang of him you don't have too much problem beating him, I'm trying to unlock Akuma right now.

http://www.amazon.com/Street-F.../ref=pd_bxgy_vg_text_b

http://www.amazon.com/Playstat...f=cm_cr_pr_product_top

These work with PS3 but I do not know if they work on PC for sure. As you see these things are expensive!

I've read that the MadCatz PS3 controller does not always work on PCs. Apparently its more likely to work on an Intel machine than AMD but there is a chance it won't work.

The HRAP3 is what I picked up for PC use and Vista recognized it immediately. I ended up manually mapping the buttons in SFIV because it wasn't clear what the various configs did. Also works well in MAME which was half the reason I picked it up. It is apparently fairly easy to mod and add the Sanwa buttons used on the MadCatz stick.

Anyone else find the button configuration setup showing xbox buttons instead of, oh I don't know, the actual game commands kind of dumb? I had to look up what the Xbox 360 buttons did to have any idea what I should map the buttons to.
