Good sales today! I'm leaning towards Dirt 2 only because I have nothing like it, never played anything like it, and it's only $4.99.

but careful, this game's been know not to play well on keyboard/mouse control. so if you got a pad that can take this game on then buy it or else, it's not going to do you much good.

I appreciate the heads up. I have a Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad so I think I'll be ok.

However...........

At the last minute I decided to buy the Crysis game pack instead. Sigh. So many games, so little time.

Greed Corp looks interesting. Might get that and Dead Space (although I'm not a big fan of scary games).

Yup - I bought Dirt 2 during the last $5 sale and I stopped playing after 30 seconds because it's basically unplayable with a keyboard/mouse, in my opinion. I just ordered a gamepad to see if I can play it that way. Probably should have just bought it for xbox, but I wanted to take advantage of the better graphics on the computer (and the $10 savings over the xbox version, which in the end didn't work out since I couldn't play it without a gamepad).

Picked up Sniper Ghost Warrior and Dead Space. I should probably stop buying games as I dont think I even installed the games from the last sale.

Not sure why anyone would attempt to play racing games on pc with anything short of a controller. When I got controllers, first thing I did, was begin seeking out games that made use of it. Racing games were at top of the list, with platformers right behind it. Now if games would begin using more modern 360 layout configurations, like Beat Hazard, and any other games I don't know off the top of my head.
A controller will be good enough for now until I can invest in this setup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ld6xT5yfbhw

Not very impressed by todays sales.

Just a note about the Brothers in Arms games:

Be warned, the first 2 Brothers in Arms games (EIB and RTH30) don't work on Vista or Win7 AT ALL because of their Starforce DRM. The third game, Hell's Highway, works OK.

I don't have any experience with any of the games, but found the above on the Steam forums.

Is it any good ?

Debatable, like anything else. I picked it up and played for a few hours. It got boring to me to do the same things over and over and the story isn't that good...but for $5, which is also what I paid for it last year, I'd say it was worth it to try something new. And for all I knew, it could've been a new favorite. Didn't end up that way, but for five bucks, who cares as long as it's playable.

That's not entirely true, I was never able to play RTH30(retail) on Vista, but it works on 7 for me. Steam versions may be different.

Has anyone played The Ball? If so, how is it?

I've played a little bit. About 2 hours and it's pretty low budget with the voice acting, graphics, etc. I have'nt really gone far enough to say anything conclusive though. From the previews it looks to have a decent amount of boss fights and hopefully some clever puzzles.

Picked up the Doom pack for $9!!!!! Can't wait to go back through this... not the best game, but for some reason I love it.
