I missed out on L4D2 now it's 7, anyone played online portion of the game, care to comment on the online community, game play etc?

L4D2 is based entirely around being an online coop, for most part. I've only played single, just to get an idea of the maps, and hang of the gameplay. Like most other MP games, the teams can be just as hit/miss. When you team up with a bad group, it's a really bad group. When you get a good team, it's smooth, beginning to end, for most part. But if you can get games going with people you know are good, and some great communication, even better. Fun game when it all works out, and definitely worth play regardless.
After playing KF a bit I feel kind of spoiled. I wish L4D had the similar level up/perk/store system as KF. Although KF is alot more of an arena type of game, rather than environmental progression.

sounds like you recommend KF over L4Ds. I have heard some complaints on KF's connection problems though.

ive had very few problems with KF ever(pre-ordered the game)

it is really fun and tripwire puts a lot of love into their games ..it is much more gritty than l4d2

I wonder if i can gift GTA4 because I already have it :\

If you buy it for yourself it will re-write over your current copy of GTA IV.

I think you'll have to gift the complete edition to another e-mail address. Then you can go in steam under games menu by Friends & Help.

Select Gifts & Guest Passes and you should see GTA IV & Episodes as two separate games I think. Then re-send Episodes to yourself and GTA IV to a friend.

If this works let me know. :)

I ended up buying the two DLCs from Amazon since I already had GTAIV on Steam from a previous sale. Ended up paying $5. I'm happy.

Did the same to get Call of Pripyat since I already owned SOC.

So - can't seem to find any info [and I will admit I didn't read the contest rules] - but any word on if/who won the Steam Treasure Hunt contest? The original link is of course dead and I don't see anything on Steams website.

I scored Silent Hunter IV / V which I really wanted, and am glad I waited 5 months for.

Also got Batman, Patrician IV, and Battlefield Bad Company II

So far I like all of them, and spend less for all those combined than 1 game retail price.

Connection problems aren't any worse compared to other similar games.
Not sure I'd outright recommend KF over L4D, but if you can cop both, even better. They both have their pros & cons.
I've been getting back on L4D as of late. Knocked out bunch of achievements & been playing around in other modes & checking out custom maps.

Looking back, there's quite a bit I wish I would have picked up.
I can wait until they do go on sale again, I have more than enough games to keep me occupied for time being. I hope.

I bought Dead Space when it was on sale and finally played it a bit. I'm glad I didn't pay more than the sale price...what a boring game. I know it's supposed to be more atmospheric than action-packed, but it was too bright! I pined for Doom 3...
