All you need to do is click on the specials tab and it has everything. Also, top sellers. If there's a big sale, that usually hits top seller pronto.

but yeah, kaotik's threads are easier to see if you ask me. he always has everything. that fucker has cost me about a hundred bucks this year! :(
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!
He SAVED you 200 hundred dollars this year.

Is Sim City 4 a good game for someone who has never played a Sim City game?

It is fun if you like city builders. If you have no experience with them but it looks interesting to you, I'd say go for it for $5, kinda hard to go wrong. You'll probably spend enough time it to see if you like it or not to justify the $5 alone imo.

As for someone else who asked above the CD Key thing. No Steam does not give you a cd key for it, sorry I missed your post before.

Forgot to get sc4 last night so ordered it today. Seems steam has some multi-computer anntihack crap in place now. System kinda sucked using it on a mobile but maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if their damn email wasn't delivered at usps speed.

Steam Guard. They implemented it like a month ago. You can opt out of it if you want in the settings somewhere in the Steam client.

So...Thursday is Mass Effect day...but neither game is discounted? What the heck is the point, then?

The premium on the Mass Effect 2 Deluxe Edition is hilarious, I can't believe they sell any of those for what you get.

Just save that money for the summer sale. Hopefully they do it again like last years. Started like 10 days before July 4th and ending on the 4th.

Meh there's a lot of those these days. It seems the same games tend to go on sale, and I either already have many of them or I passed them up because I'm not interested.

The digital deluxe edition seems like it would be best if you really want the art book. The documentary video, comic, and soundtrack are all on YouTube, and the in-game items aren't even that good (although two of the three are only available if you buy the deluxe edition and can't be bought separately).

But essentially it seems like something that would only appeal to complete die-hard Mass Effect fanatics. You know, the people who already own the game and have since release day.

I bought ME2 Digital Delux Edition for $10 (IIRC) probably 6 months ago off Impulse. Some of these so called sales on Steam are Pathetic. I am glad that there are other digital distribution sites that are around to buy games from.

Valve doesn't set prices for any games sold on Steam other than their own. But I agree, I'm glad there is at least some competition out there to encourage publishers to put their games on sale. Steam is probably the most user-friendly digital distribution system, but there are sometimes better deals on Impulse, D2D, or GamersGate. Even the EA store has been doing a lot of sales themselves, a lot of times selling their games for cheaper than they're available on Steam.

I'll probably pick up ME2 for $10, even though I'm not even close to getting through ME1 and don't have it on my schedule to play right now.

You *should* spend $20 on ME2 if you get it today -- $10 for the game, $10 for the Shadow Broker DLC.

Look again. ME1 75% off, ME2 50% off.

Ah. Well, I already have them, but I recommend them to anyone who doesn't. Great games for a good deal.

It was worth it with the Collector's Edition on the 360 to get the special metal case & cover slip, art book, and comic. Digitally...not so much.

Got Sim City 4 and ME...even though I have litte hope of playing them this year due to huge backlog of games and little time to play...at this rate I'll be able to get ME2 for $5 and still haven't played the first one :\

Actually, yes. Its a relatively simple and helpful version all things considered.
Simcity 3000 is more for the hardcore users, not so much in game help.

Got 1@2; glad I didn't assume the deluxe edition came with DLC.

I already beat MA 1/2 on the 360, back when my GPU wouldn't handle it. Debating on adding em to the library...and Mass Effect 3 is delayed.
