Damn, i found just cause 2 at gamestop, but they charge you $4 to be able to download the game for up to 18 months, that is a big WTF.

Heh, yea. I always figured that everyone who has wanted the game would've bought it by now, but apparently that's not the case.

Same for TF2, Counter-strike, HL2, etc.

Yea definitely. Everyone should try out VVVVVV... awesome platformer with a great soundtrack. I'm not sold on the pack though, I already have VVVVVV and World of Goo. How's the rest of the games?

Like Born2bwire; I had no problem using keyboard and mouse. It wasn't perfect but wasn't nearly as bad as I expected; the game itself was a lot of fun 'cept for the stupid game for window crap. If they had left that off I would have nothing to gripe about 🙂

well, I went ahead and picked it up last night, played a little way through it. I've only had one problem up until now (maybe 2% through, heh), and that is that my middle mouse button isn't working for the secondary function of weapons (to detonate your explosive, in this case).

Mostly a in-game mouse software issue that I can fix, but it still has that feel where I would prefer a game controller. I tend to think of PC friendly games as strategy, rts, RP, FPS; this is more like Devil May Cry, Assassin's Creed type game where combos and multiple movies are tailored toward a controller.

my old-ass saitek analog controller has backwards axis in this game, and I can't seem to fix it. grrr. Are these GFWL games also "fixed" such that only the xbox controller will work?

I've only heard bitching and moaning about this one, but that's from forums like this one witch are rather critical of such things. 😉

I only mentioned that this would happen (only on this sale) b/c I remember some crazy deals last X-Mas for recently-released, uber popular games.

No, I already had Goo, too. You just lose the extra. Which is fine at this price.

Yeah, I have Torchlight on PC and Paradise on both PC and PS3.

I have no interest in anything else.

Wouldn't they get more sales if they put games people actually want on sale instead of mostly crap games?

I'm sure the interest most people. I'm still hoping for Mass Effect 2, or Just Cause 2.
 
I snagged the Indie pack today, own Goo already but that VVVVVV game just cracked me up too much not to get it. It also appears I'm the only person who hadn't got Torchlight during one of the other 15 times it's been on sale for $5. So I got that. I am loving the Indie packs. They are everything that's right with PC gaming.
 
never bought torchlight yet cause i kept hearing about possible expansion..seems like it's now going to be in the vain of torchlight 2; assumes this means it's safe to purchase the first one?

Once you finish the missions - it boils down to obtaining achievements. One thing that never got old is blowing crap up.. especially with a nice combat copter or the tank.. 🙂

I doubt you're going to see an expansion for Torchlight. If you want "extra content" including other classes, etc... just get a mod from the rather large community.

Is anyone getting freedom force pack? Its 75 cents each. I just want to try it out for, and for that price its worth it.
Edit: I bought one from someone on slickdeals who did a group pack

Well, the $5 should get you all of it, but if you're like me, you may be cursing the developers for their inane archaic methods of elongating the game's playtime. The fact that getting a good drop is very rare (especially one that's actually good for you) and how enchanting is incredibly expensive (and can ruin your gear). Without mods, you simply cannot do everything that you should be able to do without spending an exorbitant amount of time (getting money that is).

Honestly, it's an absolutely terrible design philosophy... but damnit, I can't help myself... I must have the better loots! 😡
