IGN gets their news from a forum that gets its news from another forum?

lol, thats real responsible and reliable reporting there.
 
I hope this is true...as much as it seems fake and made up, because it is Starcraft 2, I will have hope.
 
Doubt it, Blizzard is too busy milking money from idiots with World of Warcraft to be bothered with making an actual good game again.

Thats pretty much how I feel too.
I used to love Blizzard, but as soon as they put profit ahead of quality, they lost me.
 
Sounds wrong to me. Kerrigan is zerg, how can they make a new race based on her? The hybrid or xel naga were supposed to be the new race or races. Also shutting down the original sc servers? Thats bullcrap! Not even EA steeps that low.

kerrigan's zerg/terran hybrid... and there were missions which hinted of zerg/toss hybrids.

Every single zerg unit started life as somthing else, kerrigan is no exception. She was a terran, shes now a zerg. She was the overminds pet project making her special but she is still zerg.

I know there were missions hinting at hybrids, thats why i said the hybrid or xel naga should be the new race, not somthing from kerrigan. If you remember these missions you will remember duran stating he worked for a "greater power" and kerrigan knew nothing of the experiments.
 
Its tough to come up with what the new race could be that would be drastically different. The zerg are roughly insects. Protoss, mystic energy users. I'd say robots/androids but the terrans are almost robots with most of their units. Still, I think an AI lifeform would make sense...although their units may be to like the zergs...god damn it!

I don't think WoW started out to be profit over quality, but Vivendi has ruined about the same number of game companies as EA has. Sadly, many of the good people left blizzard over the last few years. Some of them started their own companies which hopefully will make the kind of games blizzard used to make. I know a few of the old Diablo guys are making Hellgate: London which hopefully will be good.
 
There seems to be a sellout mentality with blizzard that i dont get, they still make very high quality titles, and release them at infrequent intervals.

They havent had a bad title for quite a while (i think WC2 was the only game they have ever made that didnt go platinum).

Fighter Forum is a very reliable source, and TeamLiquid.net simply translated their news.
 
What the heck - maybe it's finally time I pick up the original and see what the hype is about, outdated graphics and all.

uhh, zerg was created as a distinct entity by the xel'naga. every single zerg unit starts life as a larvae. they have the power to assimilate other entities but they are hybrids.

kerrigan's a hybrid. she can psi-storm and cloak. no zerg unit can.

 
AS long as the protoss can actually repair stuff this time, I won't care. Seriously. The zerg heal, Terrans can repair, yet the Protoss with all of their insanely advanced technology can't fix sh!t. WTF.

It's mechanics are crap compared to modern RTSs (ie: Rise of Nations), but it's fun as hell to play and was revolutionary for it's time.
