I'm up to 100+ hours of fun so far. If it crashes and burns tomorrow, that's a better return than a lot of other entertainment I've spent money on.

There are people on both sides of this thing turning the success or failure of Star Citizen into an existential human crisis. It's not, and it never will be, but then again I have a life outside of playing games.

There is no game techboy. We look. ALL the time. People running around stealing ships from each other and becoming criminals in timeout spots isnt a game. Farming the same mission over and over isnt a game. This is a buggy tech demo. You are as bad as a Scientologist. I'm done with this thread for now. There is no saving you and you will get everything thats coming to you.

Possibly or it could be a game changer like EQ1 or Crysis. We just don't know, u feel its safe to say if you are concerns wait for it to launch. There are playable area's now, I'll admit my current PC isn't up for running it but I've known from day one I'd be at the bottom end of performance.
Basically I'm saying if someone bought in early & has second thoughts ask for a refund its pretty cool that you can get a refund if someone bought in the last 24 months the risks should apparent. Being a gamer comes with the possibility you'll be disappointed, fair or not its been the case since the 80s.

You say things that aren't true. You're still stuck on the 'its a scam' idea from 2 years ago, and are so invested into it you can't let go no matter what's in front of you.

To the point you try to get me banned from the forms for having a different opinion then you about a video game. Does that sound like a reasonable human? Does that sound like a great party?
 
Im also an anandtecher and I dont want to see my fellow anandtechers throw money down this drain. Without a counter point to the evangelicals more people could be in a uncomfortable position in a couple years and feel used.

There have been pages and pages of us "evangelicals" posting that if someone is on the fence, they should hold off. And pages of us stating that the best way to get involved IF someone does want to is with the cheapest entry packages.

I've never recommended pledging for SC without explaining the current alpha state and the risk of loss and likely delays, and I've recommended to plenty of people that they look to other options and wait on SC based on the context of what they're looking for.

I've also seen several people in this thread do the same.

I've also seen you in those threads making random comments about SC (and were the first person to bring it up) instead of contributing anything relevant to the OP, so stop pretending you have any kind of real concern for Anandtech members.

That was projection. Because thats where you are right now in your mind. Everything is fine. The game is great. It was worth $500 even if it died tomorrow. There are no problems. its not a scam.

We were having a discussion. This thread isnt just for 4 white knights whose hopes and dreams are completely invested in this one video game. Its also for others to discuss the game and its crowd funding.

At what point did I say you needed to be "Pro Star Citizen?" Where are you coming up with this stuff? If it doesn't make sense, read more slowly.

There was a recent post from a member asking about options for space sims / games. Three people who you like to label as SC cultists recommended keeping an eye on Everspace, NOT SC.

You jumped into the thread and made sarcastic remarks about SC and contributed nothing to the OP. If that's your idea of showing "concern" for the Anandtech community, I really don't think many here are interested.

I absolutely can't wait for Grim Hex. It's beautiful and having this as a new landing zone deep in the Yela belt will be stunning. IIRC, we can FPS there too like Kareah. It'll be like Kareah with shops.
