They never promised to deliver what they're currently working on by 2014. The entire date/scope changed after the successful crowd sourcing campaign. They promised a $10M house for a $10M budget, but ended up with $100M and are now working on a $100M house that will take longer to build.
It's important to note.. Their frankfurt studio didn't even get up and running until July 2015.

Just know the 'it will never be done and arguments about 2014 promises' are mostly going to fall on deaf ears, as the company has been very open, vocal, and public about the change of plans that happened due to the crowd funding success. And even if the game isn't finished until 2019, they're still well within a reasonable development cycle for a game of this size.
I see you here always posting and raving about this game. It's an unfinished incomplete game with only bits and pieces released in a preview state. It has been 4 years. 4 years!
What the heck is drawing you to this mess? There are countless numbers of games released recently that are very much playable from beginning to end. Games that are complete and you can enjoy them right now.
I'll see what this game is like when it's released. Whatever decade that is.
