Used it last night to buy some food and they never gave it back to me.

In the meantime, they've racked up hundreds of $s in charges.

I've got the longest Japanese name. I can't understand how they are getting away with it.

:Q

Where did you use it (that you didn't get it back)?

At least it's a CC though instead of a debit/check card, with which they could clean out your bank account...

????

You gave your card to someone to use to buy some food and they didn't give it back to you??

Why don't you go find him and kick his ass?

I bought some dinner with it as I was working late last night.

When I went to use it this morning, I realized it was missing and that the cashier did not return my card to me. I went over to the store to talk to the owner about it but he gave me his spiel about how his employees are honest, yadda yadda yadda and didn't believe me. After asking him where the cashier lived he told me a certain part of Queens. Well, surprise! That's the same area of Queens my card was being used.

Anyway, he'll have to deal with her. Fortunately, I won't be held liable.

You used it LAST NIGHT and are only on the phone to them now? WTF dude? You should have called up the company as soon as you didn't get it back, hell, you should have said "WhereTF is my card" to whoever used it, and not gone until you had the card.

How could you let that happen?

My CC is something that I NEVER leave the restaraunt without. I watch those bastards like a hawk when they take my card and expect it back in my hands or on the table in a reasonable amount of time. Then I watch my online statement a couple of days afterwards just to make sure they're not trying to fvck me.

He didn't realise until this morning that it was missing.

Good luck CC companies are usually pretty good with this stuff. DC companies such as Wachovia however are idiots they make you sign and send the same papers like 3 times and it takes like 2 months to get your money back.

How? I'm working late. Sometimes you forget things when you've got other things on your mind. The woman took my card to a different station, worked on the transaction for about a minute came back with the receipt, I talked to her about something and forgot to get the card back.

When I went to use the card this morning, I realized I didn't have it but it didn't occur to me what happened with it. Again, I've got other things on my mind like arguing last night with my wife over things until late in the morning. When I went to cancel, that's when they told me about all the charges. Those guys were very busy in the last 12 hours.

It isn't necessarily the cashier that took it - for all you know it could have slid under something on the table, she might have dropped it on the way over, etc, etc.

FYI, it wasn't a restaurant but a deli.

True. I thought that too. There were only 3 people there last night, her and 2 cooks who were on the other side of the store. The store was closing also and I was the next to last customer as they already locked the doors. That sort of narrows it down a bit.

My landlord just realized he's been a victim of identity theft for 8 years!

They've even bought cars and got a mortgage with it. He's really fvcked, but so is the thief who's left an easy trail to follow.
