Here's how it works. If someone comes to your house and you want to offer them a carbonated beverage, you ask "Would you like a coke?" Then when they say yes, you say "Well, we have Coke, 7up, etc, etc. Whaddya want?" If you go to the grocery store, and you can't find the carbonated beverages, you ask "Where are the cokes?" If you go to a restaurant and ask for a coke, you don't get upset if they don't bring you a 7up. You're not dumb, you say exactly what you want, you say "Gimme a 7up." It's not that complicated. 😛Originally posted by: eakers
an open question to all coke sayers:
what do you say when you want a coke? how do you specify that the type of drink you want is coke when everything is coke to you?
i say pop and i have never heard anyone refer to it as soda except for soda water.
