So why don't you have a 360?

I got a 360 for a few racing games that I couldn't get on pc. I try to get as many fps on pc as possible.

I'm primarily a PC gamer, and when I look at the 360 I see better graphics than the xbox and...that's about it. I have a decent HTPC, I have a computer which I will be upgrading regularly to meet at least the minimum requirements of the games that come out in the future. The Wii looks like it could be something different, or it could be just a crappy console with a wavy stick thingy. Nevertheless I'm still leaning towards the Wii as being a console that merits leaving the computer desk for a bit of hands on fun. I suppose we'll see...

I just played Need for speed most wanted and bomberman for the 360... (I've had a 360 since April I believe).

Conclusion: There are some pretty fvckin' fun games for the 360 and the Audio + Visuals are just awesome. I love PC gaming but I can't afford to continually spend 500 bucks on a video card + other computer related things every 6 months - year.

this coming friday comes the ps3 for the us...anyways.

what sucks (for those console fanboys i guess or people who just love xbox and hate everything else) is that some xbox exclusives (halo 1 and 2) go to the PC. one more reason why i dont own an xbox.

besides, my pc is fun with or without "HD" graphics.

and Eeezee said it right - the ONLY reason to own consoles is for the exclusive games.

Funny I grew up playing 30-40 hours a week playing games. (Diablo, Starcraft, FPS, etc)

I've always thought my life would be miserable by being enslaved by vid games...

I always think to myself... If I were to spend $500 or xxx on games/PCs/consoles, think of all the traveling I can do with it instead...

I have owned a few different consoles at one time or another and I have never really enjoyed "console gaming." I don't know if it is the games or the controllers or what but initial excitement always vanished pretty quickly and turned into lack of interest. I kept trying to like playing games on a console it just never worked out that way for me.

At current pricing, for me to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360, first, there needs to be a winner in the hi-def movie format war and second, the console would have to do a good job playing movies in the winning format. If all the console does is play games, like the Wii, I have no interest in it.

I won am Xbox 360 last winter,sold it and out the $$ towards a new Dell with 19 inch lcd for my son.No worries though,he's happy with his xbox and his PC plus I won him a nintendo wii last week

Personally, I've been sick of all the RPGs that end up on the PS systems. Frankly, I'm sick of all RPGs period.

I've been having a ball with my 360. Burnout, Table Tennis, Fight Night, GRAW, Dead Rising, Tony Hawk and Gears of War are pretty damn fun to me. I use my PC for CS:S and BF2142

Consoles are overrated. They are just expensive PC's jammed into a box. Basically a PC with a hand held controller and no keyboard/mouse. About the same as a PC. Add the telvision you have + the system. Bam you have a smokin computer that can do everything 360 can. It's stupid that more people don't get into PC gaming instead.. I swear, consoles AND pc's will MERGE in the coming years.

1. I'm not going to go out and spend $400 for a console when I would rather use that money to upgrade my AGP mobo and get up to date.

2. I'm not an intense console gamer. If I play games, it's on the PC. Unless a game comes along that really tugs at me (Kind of like how Guitar Hero does for the PS2) or it's a sports game.

3. I have an Xbox. "Found" it and it "followed" me home. Had a blast with it and I'm sort of still having fun with it.

The library of the 360 is weak. The only game I would want to play is Gears of War, after hearing all the hype about it. However, I am not gonna spend 450+ just to play ANOTHER shooter. I don't care how pretty it is

Meh, i've played it in a few shops and was distinctly underawed.

PC gaming is better in every way for the games i enjoy (mainly FPS), better graphics, better controls...why would i want a 360?

Probably going to get a Wii next year, that looks like a lot of fun to play with your mates with a few beers.

My answer is, my buddy is getting one, so I can get a lot of playtime in on it without paying the megabucks for it. I will have enough money for the Wii though

perhaps when i'm finished applying for college, i'll pick up a wii. i really want a ps3 now that the family is getting an HDTV, but don't have $600 to spend on it.
