I dont have a 360 because I dont play many video games other than Madden. I have the original xbox, and madden is best on that console.

ps3/wii! I want a ps3 nly b/c i know my friends will get a Wii.

Problem with 360 is...GAMES. If I want pretty graphics my computer can do it without a problem.

Of course if PS3s games start turning into Xbox360 quality....I'll have to move to Wii ;)

I don't buy consoles anymore. My last one was an N64 when it first came out which I only used for Zelda and Mario. I might consider the Wii if the price is right after a year or so. Probably not though.

The PS3 is a very outside possibilty if there's a fair amount of home-brew stuff made available and the price drops a few hundread in a year or two.

I just bought one the other day, Gotta say pretty damn impressed. Got Gears of War with it, graphics are just sick on a HDTV. Love the purchase.

Man, Target has Xbox 360 for $400 - $50 GC this week... I have a 10% coupon that would bring the price down to $310 :Q

I'd buy it, but
1. That would prevent me from using that coupon on the Wii + accessories next week
2. I'd still rather wait until I'm sure they have the problems worked out
3. With games, extra controllers, for the 360 and Wii I'd end up spending $800+ on video games this month... I think my wife would freak out :D

I don't play consoles, but my kids do.

1) Acer PC deal at CC $199 (after selling monitor) + 7600GS $70 + add 512mb value RAM (1GB total) $35(AR) = Gaming system for the kids for less than a 360

2) 360 game prices are nucking futs. PC and PS2 games are much cheaper

3) The kids already have a PS2 and the little ones still play Nintendo 64

4) Like I am going to let the kids take over our HDTV all day

Unfortunately true :(, the only PC game that I've played recently, and thought was any good, is Oblivion.

My roommate has one. It's neat. Not sure I would drop $400 on one though, maybe $300 for the prem version.

Im buying the wii. I have quite a few launch titles I want to play, and that never happens, should be spectacular.

The games suck.

Halo is overrated, people only play it because its one of the few decent 8/10 games out there for the console.

I'm 28...done with all the running around with "buddies"...and so are they. I've just bought a home and, honestly, it's cheaper to spend 400 on a 360 than it is to run around with friends. That, and it's equally as fun to have game night with friends a couple days a week. Drinking and partying days are over...and it's not even that I *can't* do this, it's that I don't feel like it.

PS3 is nice, but I don't see being able to get one until April or May at a reasonable price. I'd go for the 360.

I play PC games mostly...but lately I've been playing my GF's xbox...it's a lot of fun :)

There's something about plopping on the couch or lazyboy and playing a game.

My PC works fine for games. The last console I owned was an Atari 2600. If I do decide to get a console the XBox is the one I will go with though.

I prefer my PC for games. I do have a PS2 and play that occasionally, but I have no desire to shell out $300-$400 for a console that only does one thing, plays games, and with games that cost $60 a piece on average. Not to mention to play online you have to pay a monthly subscription in addition to your high speed internet. At least with the 360 you do.

I want one now because i got a HDTV

But im gonna wait until the deluxe version is like $250, $400 is to much for a console

In the meantime, im gonna continue gaming on my 3.5 year old PC on my 1680x1050 LCD monitor

I don't have one because there hasn't really been anything I care for yet. I don't give a rats ass about the 100 different Madden games, the 10th rehash of DoA or Ridgeracer (in Sony?s case), or simultaneously developed ports of PC games at lower resolutions.

And Halo... I never understood the hype. Guess I'd have to be a console gamer that never played a FPS before to be excited about it.

I do want one, and a PS3, and I intend to homebrew code on both, esp. the Cell as I'm always drawn to things that are unconventional. I just need an excuse to get one. Gears of War and Dead Rising are two games that top my list right now. But I need more than that.

I've got both a 720p native LCD projector and a 1080p native SXRD LCOS projector so I am really really REALLY wanting an excuse to get a 360 but so far it just doesn't have anything for me. Until I get that excuse I will dazzle myself senseless with the PC via HDMI. UT2004 at @ 1080p on a 106? HDTV FTW

Last console game I played was Xenosaga III on the PS2 and Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube. The woman and I even broke out with Secret of Mana on the SNES this weekend!

SNES was the greatest console ever made and there were no FPS games because the hardware didn't allow it (and the SFX games like Doom and Wolf3D aren't even worth noting). Look at the quality and selection of console games now that everyone can cookie cut a FPS on a console. Nowhere near the fun and innovation of the SNES library. Leave the FPS to the PC please.

I haven't read the entire thread so this may have already been posted:

1) Price
2) Didn't originally include HD support out of the box

Once it's $175-ish with HD and some mods/hacks then I'll buy one.
