It's too expensive (waiting for price drop/ hardware revision) and too many hardware problems atm.

Its still not perfected to a point I want to get it. I hear to many complaints about the red rings of death in less then a years time or a years time. I feel it should last a lot longer then that. Then its the over heating problem and this thing is supposedly still hotter then the sun. The original xobox had a dvd drive problem but was a very easy fix and then they last for ever. Mine has lasted over 4 years without a single problem.

So right now $400 is alot of money for me to gamble on. I would rather pick up 2 Wii boxes and wait till they get it working better and the prices come down a bit. Till then my family and I will be having a butt load of fun with the new Wii and the new controllers and games associated with it and years of service from it.

As for Sony PS3, It be a cold day in hell when I shell out $600+ for a console let alone even $600 for a Grpahics card for my computer as well ($599 Nvidia 8800 gtx)

Oh yeah forgot about that. Isn't MS going to release Halo 3 when PS3 comes out?

Nope. It was pushed back and back again, and it's not due out until next November, although pre-orders have started.

I don't have a 360 because I find the game selection apalling, the fit and finish of the console disgusting, and the performance substandard. But, that's just me. Every time I've played one I was most unimpressed.

1. Expensive. And big. And an even bigger power brick
2. I could care less about shooter and sports games (that's what the 360 is all about IMO)
3. Oblivion on PC is 1000 miles better
4. Lack of killer RPGs that the PS2 has
5. Already have a PC, PS2 and PSP, no time and space for another console system
6. Will get a Wii if I will to buy a new console

7) I don't want to give M$ any more of my money.

I simply don't play games.

Funny I grew up playing 30-40 hours a week playing games. (Diablo, Starcraft, FPS, etc)

I've always thought my life would be miserable by being enslaved by vid games...

As a 23 yr old, I'm having the best time of my life.... constantly out with friends, trying new things (just got back from Europe, did skydiving, white water rafting this year), creating memories here and there.

I always think to myself... If I were to spend $500 or xxx on games/PCs/consoles, think of all the traveling I can do with it instead...

30-40 hours a week

I grew up playing maybe 0-10... I still play maybe about 5 hours a week, but it's getting to the point where it's not worth it for me to use my limited budget on improving my PC to play the latest games. Probably just going to sell off most of my PC components and use my laptop if I ever feel nostalgia and want to play my older games.

I'll be getting one hopefully within the next month. I'm done with PC gaming and upgrading my PC to play games. I'd rather sit on my couch and play a game on my 51" HDTV than sit at my computer desk anyway.

(1) I don't play video games too much, except for a few on PC now and then.
(2) I'm gonna get the PS3 as soon as Final Fantasy 13 is released.

None of the games on the 360 are worth the 460+ dollars and besides I don't have an HD TV, I'll just stick with my PC.

I have an HDTV, so the 360 looks great. I really only bought one because my girlfriend said she wanted one; she really likes driving games.

I don't game that much really, but I used to be addicted to Battlefield on the PC. Overall though I got tired of all the problems: Crashing, constant patches, etc. Once you get going, it's great; however, it's simply too time consuming to keep everything going, imo.

The simplicity really is what I love about console gaming. I put in the disc and it always works. I don't have to worry about any programs that may be running in the background, any specific compatability issues with my hardware or software, and I don't have to worry about the system crashing.

But as to why I don't have the 360:
-My computer in college also doubles as a HTPC. So that usefulness of the 360 and it's predecessor is out.
-The game lineup isn't there for me. There are very few genres of games I like. J-RPG is one of those categories, and only the PSx line carries an assortment of good titles. The 360 simply does not have any games that appeal to me enough to plop $330 down on the system and another $50 for online gaming.
