I turned around, took off my shades, looked him straight in the eye and said " well you know sarge, perhaps if we build a freaking dunkin doughnuts on this street it would give you guys a excuse to ride up here once or twice a week and keep the crime down. I then threw my shades on the ground to let him know I meant business. I feel pretty good about what I did for my neighborhood today.

& what you did could have been a felony ... you do not go to people's homes without their permission, hit them and leave.

hell I run past the police station in my neighborhood about 3 times a week.

I smell MJ there about 1/3 the time. It's a good neighborhood mostly.

Still although I don't agree marijuana should be controlled (I have not smoked it in over 10 years though), still the places where dealers let a half dozen crack whores show up should be closed. There is one place near my 1/2 way point in my run that is semi-ghetto...it's about a 1/4 mile up from the police station. Every run there are cars parked everywhere in their circular driveway and on the swale and on the sidewalk. Most have rear windows filled with gangster stuff like "$$$Big G'$ Money$$$" with a big reefer leaf logo below it. The place is a pot smoke screen.

you are not a scientist. Saying you have 'researched' it, but have no 'published' or works out there....then adding but never tried it...is a big stumbling block for me.

This is not like saying I am researching Cancer and I forced myself to contract it.

casual pot smoking is about as bad for your health and drinking a beer, if not better.

new studies are showing that THC actually helps prevent cancer because it shuts down potential cancerous cells before they spread, and instigates the creation of new cells. Your brain actually has receptors for THC, where as it is quite the opposite with alcohol. I'd rather see my kids toke up then drink any day of the week.

edit: i agree that smoking anything is not healthy, so weed+vaporizor=ftw

Wrong place to ask this: I've been hit twice by potheads. Once at a red light (they simply didn't stop, and I was in front of them) and once pulled in front of me (they had a stop sign, I didn't).

I know that it's rare for the same person to be hit twice by high drivers (especially since it's the only accidents I've been involved in), but do you seriously think that someone who is high on weed is capable of driving? Wow.

i do. but it also depends on the driver... i'll take "responsible" high drivers over drunk drivers/people on cell phones any day. I've been rear ended several times, all by sober people on cell phones. I still believe its 95% about the driver.

you probably got hit by dumb drivers that were also high.. bad luck on your part. You are probably lucky they were high, because they might have been driving faster.

I was at Epcot this past April and went into a restroom to take a leak and in the stall next to me was smoke hanging above and reeking of pot, so other guy was in the restroom with his kid also and said something like "real nice buddy!!"

I didn't and wouldn't say anything since I was a youth once but when I mentioned it to my fiancee she asked why I didn't notify anyone.

Poster: so i came home tonight and found my front door open. i look in the window and there are a few thugs in my house destroying and stealing everything. i happened to notice that my neighbor was in there too, but he was tied to a chair and gagged. they then started to beat the crap out of him. finally one of the thugs pulled out a uzi and shot him!
