or at least not until they hit somene you know or care about....

lemme guess...most of the people posting this this thread think smoking weed doesn't slow your response time or reflexes...

Solve drunk driving and maybe I'll start caring about driving while high.

it doesnt take a stoner to realize that spending tax dollars and wasting cops time on petty crimes when there are bigger fish to fry does not make much sense.

yea, it does. but not much. especially if you are "used" to being high. the effect of weed on your senses, reflexes, etc.. is like 3% compared to being drunk... it has an effect, but not as much as you are thinking.

Yeah, I can attest to that. After a night of smoking pot, I used to ride my motorcycle back home from my friend's place at a constant 40mph in the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes, we would go driving all over town, looking for a place to eat. Not too fast...not too slow. I must've done that at least a 100 times. Incident-free. And I wasn't even a hardcore stoner. It was just this 5-month long phase back in '04. Haven't done it since.

I would have never tried it if I hadn't seen like, dozens of guys drive around perfectly fine (while being stoned)

Some people aren't concerned with money when it comes to saving lives.

im having trouble correlating saving lives with some kids just smoking pot... pot doesnt kill.. it doesnt kill brain cells either.

there should be NO money spent on enforcing pot laws. its a waste. If it wasnt so risky to sell/grow pot, the criminal cloud associated to it would dissolve. People wouldnt have to hustle 100's of pounds of it because the common smoker could grow it themselves or get it from a friend. The black market for it would collapse.

I'm confused. Most elderly busy body women like the OP don't even use computers, much less log into anandtech. I call shens.

😀

Havn't you heard? There are an alarming number of elderly busy body women starting younger and crossing gender lines. 😕

I came into this thread without any logical arguments, you are the one who is trying to drag me into some kind of "logical argument" about the the economical/moral intricacies of laws concerning drugs and drug users. Btw, I plan to exit this thread the same way I came in, expect another post. 🙂

What's the big deal? It's not like it's illegal or anything.

lol. but honestly, since when are you a douche for calling the cops when someone is doing something ILLEGAL. Should he have called the cops if someone was getting raped? Obviously you guys don't think so, he should mind his own business.

then you should snitch at all times every time you see the slightest transgression of the law you should be on the phone with the police reporting it. Speeding, double parking, expired meters, jay walking, tresspassing the whole 9. no exceptions.

agree.....victimless crime. you can't compare that to someone being raped , I mean jesus..If they are dumb enough to do it outside in front of a restaraunt , then they will get caught without you wasting your time calling the cops on them.

"Towlie Says" hey kids, wanna get high ? ?
don't forget to bring a towel!

There is no such thing as a victimless crime. It's just how many levels you choose to evaluate the results of said crime.

I have never heard of anyone having an accident due to being stoned unless they were rear ended. The saying when leaving after smoking when I was young was "drive as fast as you can." If they were smoking crack , thart would be a different story.

Edit...afterthought:
I am not too sure the Police would do more than laugh at you if you called them and told them some kids were smoking a joint outside a restaraunt.
