We haven't fully recovered from Bush's recession and we're still in Bush's Afghanistan war.

I'd say most other problems are Obama's now.

What? You are expecting someone in politics to accept responsibility?

EDIT: *BANG* *BANG* "This darn sarcasm meter is broken!" *BANG* *BANG*

Absofuckinglutely not! You already knew the answer to that one. Anything that happens in the next four is still a direct result of Bush policies. He's the gift that keeps on giving. You can't turn a big ship around that fast - especially when it's sinking.

Let's hope Obama sees the bigger picture in term two. I was laughing out loud today hearing the sound bites of him doing his shtick - saying he's open to new ideas. Deja-vu.

You really can't judge these things based on time span alone. You can fault Obama for doing a poor job of correcting what Bush did and hold him accountable for that, but it's hardly fair to lay the cause of the recession and war(s) at his feet. They will forever be Bush's follies.

The point of the thread is that he will be held accountable for nothing. You've been here long enough to know that.

Why be accountable when your base thinks it's opposition are stupid racists? Accountability is not what got him reelected.

Plus the other wars and shit he has gotten us into. He has had 4 years to pull us out of the war. He should have gotten at most 1 year of blaming Bush.

Now he is just going to blame the fucking house for stonewalling.

Meanwhile that motherfucker has his pen ready to raise my taxes.

I know, evil rich. People talk about how so few have amassed so much. Billionaires out there paying low taxes. Well, guess what? They have already amassed their riches, so taxing them isn't going to do shit. Nope, instead you need money from me.

My thought is that everyone in this country should have skin in the game and owe, at a minimum, $100/year in federal taxes. No refunds. You MUST pay to live in America, even if a token amount. What is the argument against this?

So why did Republicans cut taxes so often so as to create the largest base of people with "no skin in the game" if they were so insistent that those people have skin in the game? I think your beef is with Reagan.

Also, why call him an MF?

Also, shouldn't we see if the house does stonewall his agenda before ascribing blame?

It's nice that you've got your victimhood scenario all laid out though. Forward thinking there.

Social security taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, gasoline taxes, and property taxes (which are passed on to renters as well, so don't pretend they're getting off easy) don't count?

Bush blame will last for years. If a repub wins next time and things start getting better they will still blame Bush because Obama could not get it going in 8 years.

Right right, Bush's Afghanistan war. Not like the Congress voted for it or anything. :sneaky:

Obvious troll bait.

Everyone knows that Bush fucked up more than can be solved in 4 years let alone 10.

Then I caught a lot of trolls.

While I know what Bush was responsible for that does not give an unlimited pass in all things, which is something I wonder about. Will the Dems hold their own as accountable as the Reps did there's? You bet! No, not a typo. It's always someone else's fault and sometimes that's true. Not for all things and not forever though.

What I did set out to do is poke some people back who have been taunting the Republicans mercilessly. Most of that is deserved, but I was curious if even a little jab could be taken after a whole lot was dished out. I suspected not, and it seems that in some cases that was a correct assumption.

nope.

All Romney's fault for the next 4 years.

(remember, PJABBER proclaimed, more than a month ago, that this country is already under the effective leadership of Romney & Ryan).
