So I had a vasectomy on Friday...

For anyone considering it, it's less painful than having your teeth cleaned.

My main advice is to make sure you chill out on the couch for a couple of days. I did it on a Friday. Went to my daughter's basketball game on Saturday morning. Big mistake...swelling. Put the package of frozen peas on the boys the rest of the day.

Sunday morning, went grocery shopping with the wife (who had no sympathy for the whole thing (she had a baby and was back at work in 2 days...no lie)). Not a good decision...swelling came back.

Took Monday off...good call there. No swelling and got to play on the PC all day.

Tuesday...back at work. The boys were not too happy with the extra motion. It would have been no issue had I chilled on the couch all weekend.

Bottom line...if you do the snip-snip...chill out for at least two days.

And...it was the easiest thing I've ever done...for those who have wondered about it...

??? Are you that dumb?

For a woman to get her tubes tied it is a major procedure. For a vasectomy it is a local and a little cut. Then you go home.

Thankfully so, because you're wrong.

EDIT: Too bad you came back.

A man complaining about swelling in his crotch. I never thought I'd see the day.

I assume you already have more than enough children. So I guess you took the responsible course of action.

And to think, if you would have only waited a few more months, you could have just avoided chopping your balls off and just start taking the male contraceptive pill. :)

In all honesty, I dont think you would need to go through with the surgury considering the countless hours you spend riding on that uncomfortable looking seat on your bike. :p

yeah. lets make the women have a surgery that has far more risk then a vesectomy just so they do not bruise your frigile male ego.

with a vesectomy its out-patient operation. nothing to it at all.

I hear it is "easily" reversible in case you decide to have children again.

Much safer and easier than getting the lady to cut/tie her tubes.

I've heard the opposite...

Hell I'd get one right now if that were true.

Ive always wondered. After a vasectomy, do you still ejaculate? or does your semen just not contain any sperm?
