So when the police didn't do anything to those guys at the bar did you go you start cussing them out resulting in the charges against you? Should we look for you on an episode of "Cops?" Was it like a scene from Porky's?

You poor thing, I never knew you lived in Alabama? I always pictured that place to be one big Jerry Springer episode for some reason. Technically the bar would be private property, no? So not a public place...

No, that's not what happened actually. I said it was *fvcked* up that they wouldn't go take a report, and he said you cannot use that type of language. So I said, what the word fvck? And then he arrested me.

It took awhile to get a referral, but my lawyer wanted me to get a Criminal Attorney who works in the jurisdiction and has at least 10 years under their belt. I just got off the phone with the Criminal Attorney that I will probably hire. He said he has a good chance of having the charges dismissed especially since they dropped the charges down from what they had orginally because I DID consent to the Breathalyzer, but they changed their minds and decided to not give me one. I meet with him at 9AM on Monday, and he hopes he can talk to the DA and get it dropped before it even enters the court room. We shall see. For the record, I was not drunk and would have passed the machine, so I wish I would have gotten to take it. It would have helped my case out enormously.

Of course I went to get my car out of impound at Billy Bob's towing(seriously), and it was 140 cash. They charge 45 for towing, unless the police call them. Then it goes up to 100 with a 25 dollar admin fee from the court, and a 15 a day storage fee. And for sure I had a scraped rim when I picked the car up. I need to take a picture of that with the nice "No Damage on Car" sticker that was on the police towing report. Yeah, no damage until the jackass unloaded it.

Civil suit for cell phone, assault against the guy who set you on fire, police for false arrest.

(Note to self, "Stop setting Mill on fire.")

Some friends were stopped in Mississippi, about a year ago. Cops saw a case of beer (closed, on the back seat) and made them open all cans and throw all the beer away. They were smart to just say, Yes Sir! Sorry, Sir, I'm an idiot!

Can't carry beer across a dry County. Anyone knows that!

Just chant Freedom, and wave the (rebel) flags!

There are some good lessons to be learned from this thread:

1. The World is not fair (duh!)
2. If you smell trouble, walk away.
3. If cops are involved, drop everything and let it go away, fast. Unless you are in your own home, cut the losses and get out.
4. Don't assume people will take your side because you are right.
5. Never argue with an idiot, especially those who carry guns. Let they think they know better.

Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you got your wakeup call that not everyone who has a problem with cops is that way because it's trendy. They're that way because of what happened to you. It happens a lot more often to a lot more people than you think.

Cliff Notes, because I'm not much in the mood for good chat right now(no offense). Crazy guy at bar thinks everyone but him is in the CIA. He sets my arm on fire(not sure if accidental or not). I try to call the cops on him with my cell phone. Bartender doesn't want the cops there so he grabs my cell phone and breaks it, and then has his goons slam me onto the concrete outside and attempt to kill me or something of that nature. I drove to the nearest gas station and called the police, but the bar owner is friendly with those officers, so they investigated me instead. When they said they were refusing to take a report of what happened to me(because they weren't there or didn't care or whatever) I said that was fvcked up so I was summarily arrested for disorderly conduct and public intox. Code of Alabama, Disorderly conduct: (3) In a public place uses abusive or obscene language or makes an obscene gesture;

Wow. Sounds like Alabama is one big ol' hick town.

I would say that 75% of the law enforcement officials I've come into contact with all over North America could easily be considered blue collar trash. They perpetuate an us versus them mentality, and, as a result, create conflict. Power-hungry hot-heads eager to kick some ass or throw their weight around.

Yes, there are obviously many men and women who don't fall into that category, and unfortunately, the majority seem to bring down the profession's image.

I sympathize with you, Mill. You've been railroaded by morons.

Mill, I say you should talk with that lawyer of yours about whether or not getting IA involved would get anywhere. Not for your sake so much as the sake of anybody else who might have to put up with similar crap. If you can get these guys off the force, or behind desks, or at least rattle them enough to let 'em know people aren't going to take that kind of crap, it'll be worth it.

Of course you might have to worry about the rest of the Good Ol' Boy Network then. Your call. But vengance doesn't have to be entirely selfish in this instance.

Wow Mill, you should posted this in P&N since it is Political in Nature that if you are not considered a GOB you're in trouble. I know all to well. Guess Georgia are still running neck and neck for the lowest of low Red Neck dept.

Also I just saw this and I would've gladly had you talk to my Lawyer.

Good luck and go get em!

I agree with you, but I for sure have to wait until the the charges are dismissed or I have to go to trial. That way it won't appear like I'm trying to sour grapes my case or intimidate anyone.

I really think Fausto sending his group of gay bikers to drink there a couple times in two weeks would be better revenge. Of course, I wonder what Fausto is doing in return for such favors?
You have to admit, it'd be pretty goddamn funny. :D

Oh trust me man... people would literally lose their minds down there if anyone from a "big" city like Atlanta came in. Even more if it was gay bikers.

If that's the way it came down then you were fscked over big time. Don't take this like I don't believe you but I am surprised that the Cops were willing to arrest you, go through the paper work and willing to go to court just because you said fsck twice. I guess they have nothing better to do.
