How can you say that? Alkemyst went into great detail in his post and laid things out pretty factually.

He was behind the wheel of a car legally impaired. He didn't follow my 3 steps ;).

Oh wow, I love how entitled people feel to do stupid sh1t. Drinking and driving? HOW DARE YOU GET IN TROUBLE! Why you should take this to court, and waste more of the publics money on BS court cases.

Let us see, why exactly did you get pulled over in the first place? What led the cop to feel the need to test your system for alcohol? Maybe you were driving like a retard? MAYBE you seemed intoxicated when he started talking to you? I've been pulled over before, and not once did they even ask if I was intoxicated.

God, I can't even believe I wasted my time on this thread. I should've just responded with "HURRRRRRR"

But then some little prick usually calls me an immature high-school student for providing nothing of use to the conversation. Sorry, I guess I should have tried to look at it from your moronic, drunk-ass side of the story.

Nah, go fvck yourself.

You probably drive under the influence regularly and finally got cut. Hopefully you didn?t get into an accident. It?s probably time to reassess your drinking.
I hope this serves as a lesson to you. Thanks for sharing this with us and good luck.

I never drink and drive because I couldn't afford it. Plus, I have this hang up about being put in a cage. :p

Dain: alcohol affects you. You don't need a study to tell you that. ANY alcohol affects your body. The reason the limit stands at .08 is because some people are too impaired to drive properly at .08. Can some people drive fine at .08, even .10? Probably, but that doesn't matter.

You know the ****** law, you know how many drinks you have had. I drink and I wait until I am sure that I am below .08 to drive. It is a very simple concept. Don't bitch about MADD because you can't follow a simple law.

How the hell do you know if your under .08. You can't it is retard to have a law that it is impossible to know if you are breaking it.
Then you must be an idiot, and anyone else who says they don't know if they're over the limit is one, too.
There have been charts for freaking YEARS that show how much alcohol you can consume each hour and still be safely under the limit or not.
My guess is, these charts probably were slanted to the lower side, meaning that you could actually exceed their amounts slightly and still be okay.
So when someone actually does exceed the safe amount to drink and still be under the limit, THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THEM NOT KNOWING IT.

Again, if you don't know when you've exceeded a safe amount to drink and drive legally, or at least that you're close, you are a Class A, registered-with-papers, DUMBASS.

Nah, go fvck yourself.

Kinda rough around the edges in the delivery, but spot on with what I think.

Cry about limits being too low all you want, but no matter what the limit is people will push it. Truth is, BAC and field tests are actually a pretty poor judge of a person's actualy ability to function behind the wheel of a car in terms of standard numbers and tests. .08 for a big chubby guy might still allow them to safely operate a motor vehicle, while .08 for a person with little meat on their bones that might run every day would tear them up. Bottom line is that if you are going to drink, just get a freaking ride or stay in and do it. More often than not I hear people saying "I didn't PLAN on getting drunk/getting a buzz"... what a croc of crap. Some nights I can feel perfect after 4 or 5 beers, other nights I can have a solid buzz on my second beer. Getting back to the point, it's too hard to tell what is safe to raise the limit.

Blame lobbyists, congress, insurance companies, or whoever you want, it's your choice to get behind the wheel, the laws are no surprise, don't cry when you choose the break the law and get caught.

Lighten up Francis...The OP never said what he blew. Yeah, he fscked up by drinking and driving, and he got caught. If you don't drive a car and if you never take a drink of alcohol I'd say you have reason to be as condescending as you were in your post, otherwise, STFU.

Its not the end of the world; take a lawyer who specialized in that area. Here in Toronto only a third of those charged with DWI are actually convicted.

Yeah, it really "stinks". All these damn fundies ruining our fun. :( :( :(

I'm with you guys, I dream of a living in a country where we are free to use our OWN JUDGEMENT about whether we can drive safely. Damn Patriot Act!

No, the big, chubby guy simply can consume more alcohol before his BAC is .08.

Yeah, that's what we want....a bunch of people that are out drinking and then deciding whether they're okay to drive or not.
I certainly hope I simply missed your sarcasm there.

Actually this is incorrect. From studies I've seen having a higher body fat % makes one more susceptible to becoming intoxicated.

Ch-ching. 0.08 is a measure of how much alcohol is in your system in a RELATIVE sense, not an absolute sense.

Is it low? Maybe.

A lot of people say 1 shot is about 0.08 for the average person right? I'm Asian. I can tell you after 1 shot I'm red as hell. I might not be drunk, but I'll be red. Did I drive home once like that after 1 shot? I did. Do I regret it? Yea. Did I get caught? No. Do I think I should've let my friend drive me? Sure, but I was approximately 5 - 6 blocks away from where we left, so I could've let her drive me 4 blocks and then I could drive the last block home.. either way, whatever.

If you get caught, deal with it. The law is there. Is it stupid? Maybe. Fight it then. Until its changed, realize that's the law.

I can't believe people are here b!tching about DUIs and how stupid it is and how there are stupid people behidn the wheel all the time.

Stop bringing up all the excuses to make DUIs seem less severe. Is MADD an insane force driving all the DUI propaganda? Sure I agree completely, but that doesn't mean you've done nothing wrong with your DUI.

To the op: Sorry dude, it sucks to get caught, but deal with it. I'm not gonna hope you go to jail, but I'm going to hope you learn from it. That's all. I think that's the most important thing from life is to learn from whatever mistakes we've gone through and then move on.

Most immature post in this thread.

Everyone of this 'tard's posts are like this. Whiny, immature, irrational vitriol. Hopefully, he won't be around for long.
