Sleepy Hollow reboot-> FOX gives machine gun to modern headless horseman

ok, saw episode 3.
don't like where the show is going.

the legend of sleepy hollow is suppose to be about Icabod vs the Headless Horseman.
and the bridge where he cant cross. (they haven't even mentioned this yet.)

so far every one else has had more screen time that the Horseman!
except for Sulu. but that's understandable since Sulu has his own show now. (plus the next Star Trek movie.)

anyway, now the show is centering on Icabod's son and his evil plans?!
WTF?!

I don't see this show lasting for season 3 🙁

not really.

the show is focusing on icabod's son.
he's the horseman of war but acts like a cowering sniveling little dolt when he's in front of his master.
no backbone/ambition what so ever towards the person who gave him his power.

for a show named sleepy holllow, there's very little of the Horseman. 😡

oh, they added a new male char from left field to help Icabod. kinda like a young Indiana jones type that finds ancient artifacts.

and now that Sulu's show on ABC got canceled, I suspect he'll be back on this show. and prob have more screen time than the Horseman.
 
wtf 2nd half of the 2nd season?!

it starts with henry (horseman of war) killing his master, molach, with the super sword that icabod retrieved at the end of the fall finale.

so allllllllll that buildup in the past year with the battle vs molach + the horsemen of apocalypse is over as a 1min epilogue to the start of the spring season?

uugg.. shakes head...

now they add an angel with the 'Zena warrior princess' circular weapon, Chakram.

geez...

its like they reboot the series every 6 months.

1) icabod vs the headless horseman.
2) then he got very little screen time and they made a minor char (henry) as the new bad guy.

3) hopefully this 3rd try at the series is the charm

They are basically trying to mimic Grimm it seems, and that is the wrong direction for this kind of a show.

It is going downhill. 🙁
 
I saw the entire first season of the show.

I may have watched this season's premiere, or tried to, but I've ceased watching Sleepy Hollow. It was too densely written, you had to pay close attention or lose track of the plot. If they paced it slower and kept it firmly entrenched in yesteryear, not modern times, it would be more appealing.

I'm not big on scripted tv anyway - after a day of work I like to give my brain a rest. (-_-)
Not sure how Fox roped me in.
 
catching up on the last 2 eps now. watching the one with the hindu vampire thing and the girl drove me crazy as being familiar. turns out she is on defiance.
 
so the season finale involves
the black chick going back in time and meets Icabod during the Revolutionary War.

:facepalm:

I predict the future gets changed.
and *ANOTHER* reboot to start season 3... sigh

and of course recursive paradox galore. As if this was Star Trek. oh Wait, Sulu is on the show...
 
After reading Jedi's post I am so happy I gave up on this show two episodes ago.

It has become terrible. First season I gave a 8/10. Very good. I like all the actors on the show but the premise has become stupid.
 
Not a surprising turn given the last couple minutes of the last show.

And walter bishop is back and going for full bad ass so have that to look forward too.

and you blow it up because the Reavers are too dangerous and others will eventually find the vault.

But why do you have to blow up the Vault up IMMEDIATELY?!

Remove all the books and scrolls, then blow up the Vault (which is the source that keeps the Reavers alive).

Sigh......

That was the biggest WTH in the episode... take as much as you can carry, and run. But nope, not one book or scroll or whatever. 🙄
And speaking of the reavers, assuming that they can regenerate, since there doesn't seem to be that many of them, what good does blowing up the tunnel do, since the vault's entrance is still there ?
 
hm.. didn't see that coming.

maybe we'll see more of the headless horseman now?
and how about introducing the bridge he cant cross...

If this gets resolved at the end of the season, might be time to end the show. It's been a great run, but we're pushing "24" and "The Following" territory once this storyline is done.

I just watched this last night and I was like what the hell. They didn't seem to have much of a problem killing them. At least grab the small box that they showed with the critical information, but apparently they couldn't even be bothered to do that. Just plain stupid writing.

yup.. 4th reboot of this series in 2 yrs 😱

original: icabod vs headless horseman w/AR-15 machine gun
2nd reboot: minor char henry becomes main bad guy. Headless horseman hardly seen.

3rd reboot: all that build up to fight molach ends in a 1min scene b4 the opening credits w/Henry killing his master (Molach). then the rest of the reboot 1/2 season is dealing w/the aftermath.

4th reboot: go back in time and change the future

unfortunately this is one of those series that would be better as a limited 13 ep season like hannibal. just let the creator do his arc and let it end. the full season order means they have to pad out the season with filler episodes that cant do any lasting meaningful changes.
