Skirting Old's law, funny road rage video

After a minute of nonstop tailgating by a huge truck, the woman in this video, identified only as "Florida Driver," is passed by the vehicle, whose driver flips her the bird and yells an unintelligible insult.


"I couldn't move over because there were trucks in the right lane," Florida Driver writes in the video description, "and I sure as heck wasn't going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were."



The videographer, who says she was driving in Tampa, writes that she never mouthed off at the guy, didn't brake check him, and -- except for holding up her phone -- was paying attention to the road.

This. She could have got over many times but did not.

She turned off comments on the youtube video as people were telling her she was just as bad as the other driver. Guess the truth hurts.
 
She did have plenty of time and room to move over. Lane courtesy should be exercised. That said, the driver in the Ford was tailgating and in the end, got what he deserved.

This is why accidents on the highway are usually in the left lane. Some asshat driving too slow then another asshat gets impatient, or wasn't paying attention. Bang, rear ender. People don't seem to realize that the left lane is for passing. Keep right if you don't want to go faster than that. You're not there to police the speed limit.
 
PLENTY of time to get over. She was being a wise and beautiful woman. Women get monthly doses of karma though, and I don't need to see her moon's blood on youtube.

So she was making a left turn, but for an entire minute, and for however long she was going straight BEFORE she started recording the video, had to be in the left lane to make a left turn? What is there a 5 mile lane change rule I don't know about?

Too bad that truck coming the other direction didn't leave a second or two earlier. Also bummed the idiot in the truck didn't roll it over.

Um, she was passing slower vehicles. You can clearly see her pass two trucks in the video.

no its for driving. if you look at the video you see a few times it opens up to 3 lanes for a left turn lane and you see cars turning. That tells me the road is not an interstate or highway but more of a boulevard where you left lane is only for passing rule is bullshit.

Ya, if I'm going over the limit and someone faster is coming up behind me, I'm not gonna duck into the right lane slam on the brakes to go 60 behind a semi.
 
That's pretty sweet. Why are guys who drive big trucks like that consistently dicks? I've seen so many of them pull that peel out move. Definitely a redneck too. The truck, camo shirt, and haircut are dead giveaways even if you ignore the way he drives.

Oh hells yes.

I dont believe a big powerful truck makes you an asshole. I believe it brings out the asshole that was always in you.

And in my area there are many more asshole truck drivers than asshole BMW drivers.
Acura owners are also terrible compared to everyone else. I dont know why.

I don't know the road laws in Canada, but that's not the case in the U.S.

55 in a 50 limit may be a bit slow, but hardly being an "asshole".

I don't understand why the dumb ass who crashed fled the scene.
