That's what I mean. He just preempted her, in case she decides to complain, he is on record first.
If she filed a complaint first, he would be in trouble. It is crazy, I know, but the system is what makes people act irrationally, and the system is so stacked against men, that they gotta protect themselves from even a remote possibility.

I still think the guy could be protecting himself.

What if she noticed him looking? And what if he noticed her noticing him...

She's not a permanent employee, or anyone that has been around the office for a while. Why trust her not to report you if she saw you looking?

What if he ALREADY has a complaint against him in the area?

There could be a whole lot more to this story...

That's exactly right. If women can decide what's unwanted advance by men, why can't men decide what's too revealing by women. You can't have it both ways. If a woman is showing cleavage like that, sometimes you can't help but look, and everytime you are risking that she'll report you for looking down her shirt. So why not nip it in the bud before it escalates. I am sure this guy wouldn't mind an office where all women showed off, and he could stare without worrying about SH accusations, but that's not the world we live in.

My sister works at an office job. She wears business-like attire for women. Well today she got a memo and complaint filed against her that her shirt was too revealing. It wasn't a plunging v-neck or anything. It just looks like a wider neck shirt but by no means you see any skin when she is standing upright. My sister had to bend over and put something on guy's desk and he filed a complaint that he could see her bra when he looked into it. Well DUH. Unless a woman is wearing a burqa or a turtleneck (sp?) of course you can see her bra if she bends over.

WTF? Who (especially a guy) would complain about that anyways... god people have nothing else better to do. Now she is all upset about it.

I would. That kind of clothing simply isn't appropriate for work. There are plenty of tops out there that are not revealing even if you bend over.

Wait, bend over to put something on someone else's desk?? Nobody bends over to simply put something on a guy's desk. Reach down, sure. But bend over? What, does this guy use the floor for his desk?

SHUT UP NIK. All you do is bitch. You are just disagreeing to be contrary. From the picture the guy posted it is obvious that her clothing wasn't out of line. I guess my 5th grade teacher was coming on to me, because I remember she bent over my desk to look at a paper one day and I saw her bra completely. OMG SEXUAL HARASSMENT OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of man complains because he sees some boobies at the job? Obviously he has some sort of vendetta and she was the convenient mark to take it out on. I am sure he is a miserable, lonely bastard who needs attention. What a sorry excuse for manhood.

Are you suggesting that if a woman wore a 'normal' shirt, and I saw her cleavage (assume similar situation to the OP), and she noticed that I looked, she COULDN'T claim SH against me?

I didn't say anything about what she could or couldn't claim. Learn to read and you will see that.

It's pretty obvious. We must pass a Law that it is a crime for women to bend over.

sheesh you are missing the point also.

we cant outlaw bra's. have you seen how saggy they get when women get old? nope i don't want that.

we also can't outlaw them bending over. someone has to pick up stuff i drop.

so the only logical thing we can do is outlaw women working. that would fix a lot of problems!

No, you BSed around the topic by show how 'rediculous' it is that he filed a report and how that could have applied to your 5th grade teacher. I countered with how REAL it is, that she could have filed one against him, and he could be protecting himself. To suggest that he may have been protecting himself and following that with reasonable thought isn't being contrary, it's being logical.

I also asked a question, I didn't say you had a opinion, thats why it's a question, I don't know what you think. Read what I wrote before, you throw the book of reading comprehension at me, because you missed the point of my post.

You also didn't answer, so in my scenario, could she claim SH against me?

turn about is fair play...she should not be showing her bra at work.

Its about time men stuck up for their rights and put an end to the hostile work environment.

I agree 10000000%.
For years, men couldnt tell jokes, couldnt look at women, had to watch everything they said or did. Intentional or not, they got sued left, right and center.

I would bet money, that if a women (not your sister, personally) bent down and her bra showed and the guys made a remark, they would be in deep sh!t. If women dont want to be commented on in the work place, they should ensure they are not leaving anything to comment about.

I am sure that it was totally unintentional that your sister showed her bra. But in future, she might wanna be more careful.

:)

This is the most retarded thing I've read in a very long time... Why are Americans so prudish? The whole world is laughing at hte Janet Jackson "scandal"!!! There are places in Eruope where women don't wear any bras at all - and there's no such thing as sexual harassment... what is this crap?

It kind of reminds me of a co-worker who complained about my deodorant (spray) being too strong, and said she'll write a memo about it... I said "go ahead, be my guest"... her mouth stank so bad, every time she spoke to me, I had to turn my head around - I was ready to put that in a counter-memo... of course, nothing ever hapened.... friggin' pansies... unless you hit back hard, these morons keep on coming at you.
