My sister works at an office job. She wears business-like attire for women. Well today she got a memo and complaint filed against her that her shirt was too revealing. It wasn't a plunging v-neck or anything. It just looks like a wider neck shirt but by no means you see any skin when she is standing upright. My sister had to bend over and put something on guy's desk and he filed a complaint that he could see her bra when he looked into it. Well DUH. Unless a woman is wearing a burqa or a turtleneck (sp?) of course you can see her bra if she bends over.

WTF? Who (especially a guy) would complain about that anyways... god people have nothing else better to do. Now she is all upset about it.

turn about is fair play...she should not be showing her bra at work.

Its about time men stuck up for their rights and put an end to the hostile work environment.

Maybe your sister should file a complaint for sexual harassment...I mean, obviously, if you want to see a bra you'll see it if you're looking. The guy should be smart enough to see when that kind of situation is coming so he could look away...

That's what I would do. By filing a complaint the guy admits in writing that he was looking down her shirt. File a retaliatory complaint that he was looking down her shirt?
:)

thats totally what I would do...

just have her make a statement saying that the shirt she was wearing was not revealing, she was in a revealing position and the man took advantage to stare at her. Then she can say that she feels she is in a sexually hostile office environment, management will go apesh!t!!

Why couldn't she do that? if she wanted to make it more of an issue.

Sucks for her though. Just tell her to cheer up, because she can't control what every single d!ck out there does.

On the one hand...WTF is this guy complaining about? He got a boob shot for nothing.

On the other hand, it does get hard to get any work done sometimes if there's women in skimpy clothes about. Although this guys definition of skimpy clothes is probably a bit broader than mine.

Maybe she caught him glancing and this was a pre-emptive strike to prevent a sexual harassment charge being dropped on his ass.

I'd have her take it to HR and have the complaint removed from her file. Crap like that can come back to haunt you when you least expect it. Have her wear the exact same outfit and assuming it meets all the required guidelines she should be able to have it removed.

Then the next time that person asks for something and says "Put it on my desk", she shoudl have him written up for Sexual Harassment because he just wants to look down her shirt.

It was not skimpy. The neck is a little wider than a t-shirt but that is it. I hardly define that "skimpy".

Is your sister attractive or should she rather be wearing a mu-mu? If attractive, she can just steer clear of the offended party. If not, she can steer clear from the buffet line

Do you live in the bible belt, and/or is the place she works religious in nature? I'd sign the guy up for the NAMBLA newsletter, a Playgirl subscription may even be required

I don't think so. The job is relatively new and she doesn't want to mess it up. She is only doing it for summer employment.

Exactly. She should feel violated, harassed, and scared of beaing near that man again because of his roaming eyes....

Good god, what a moron. She should definitely take this up with HR and tell this Taliban-wannabe asshole to piss off. :|

It's called a pre-emptive strike. Plenty of women would have no problem with getting a guy fired for looking down their shirts. This guy is smart. It's her job or his.

Give the offended man a douche bag, and tell him to wash the sand out of his 'giner.

If that's the case, who really cares what that guy thinks. Just ignore the memo and finish off the remaining 6-7 weeks.

I know I wouldn't, I would consider that just another perk of the job!

good point.

He already has it on file that she wears offensive clothing, meaning he's got it on the record first.

Very smart. Very, Very smart.
