My car came with XM. I didn't think I was gonna subscribe after the first free month, but I was hooked. I can drive across the country and have crystal clear music all the way across. Opie and Anthony on XM make fun of Howard Stern all the time saying he's a has been. I kinda agree. His stuff gets old real fast.

That's why O&A copy his bits all the time, huh??

O&A are ok, but nothing great...

"I invented everything Robin. Hoo hoo."

LOL, it's still true. He has bits from 25 years ago that are still being ripped off today, by Leno, O&A, etc.

Sorry but listen to the ramblings of an egomaniac for 4 hours is not what I consider entertainment.

Hey, whatever. I enjoy it, especially when one of the main people on the show gets ragged on. I can do without just about any of the musical guests, at least when the do songs. I usually don't like them and to hear Howard suck up to them is annoying. The girls taking their clothes off is another thing the radio doesn't do well. I do like the freak show and Gilbert Gotfried and Shatner when they come on. Gilbert is probably the best guest of all.

Obviously, you've never really listened to a single entire show. There may be one segment with a girl doing something, or some game with multiple girls taking off their clothes, but most of the show is goofing on news, guests, Howard and the bunch talkiing about what happened last night, over the weekend, or on vacation. The only way someone would think it's all "naked girls" is if they haven't really listened.

let's put it this way... Sirius will be the demise of Howard Stern. he now can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. there will be no more controversy. his "shock jock" status won't be valid anymore. his pushing-the-envelope allure won't be a draw anymore.

bye bye Howard.

I doubt it. God knows terrestrial radio broadcasters seem to be in mortal fear of him (hence the fact that the National Association of Broadcasters has undertaken an unprecedented, multi-million dollar ad campaign with the slogan, "you shouldn't have to pay for it," and that Clear Channel and Infinity stations will sell ads to XM, the larger satellite radio service, but not Sirius).

I understand many people aren't Stern fans (the E! show was admittedly simplistic and frankly boring to me, even as a huge fan), but his show is not just about being shocking. I think he's one of the cleverest, funniest guys around, and his show is hilarious IMO, in a way that transcends him being a "shock jock." Moreover, he has an enormous, loyal fan base, and my guess is that during the holiday season, he will bring Sirius hundreds of thousands of new subscribers.

I hope so. Maybe my stock will finally pay for that swimming pool. I was disappointed yesterday when I was Christmas shopping and I couldn't find a seasonal music channel on Sirius. I had to listen to local free FM that kept fading and had to keep changing stations. We shop in a fifty mile radius with lots of mountains. Even sat TV has a seasonal music channel! I loaded a lot of seasonal stuff on an MP3 player for the next shopping trip.

Sirius has a seasonal channel, it's 62. "Country Christmas", though.

I get Sirius through Dishnetwork, and man I wish I could somehow use that with a reciever in my car or at work over the interweb. I <3 Sirius, and when I move and get digital cable, I'll probably end up with a Sirius sub and reciever.

Edit: put in wrong channel

I'll try 62 when we are out today. Not much of a country fan, (like a couple of groups) but for seasonal music it's OK.

Sirius's christmas station is #2 or #3, I forget which. They play a nice mix of old and newer stuff.
