Speaking only for myself, I signed up for a plan where I pay in advance for 12 months, and get them at the price of 11. My credit card will be charged again in another year. I can't imagine I would go out of my way to cancel it even if, God forbid, Howard died or was incapacitated, because the service seems worthwhile to me.
I'd be interested to see how the customer retention numbers are for satellite radio. My guess is that some people who get it preinstalled on their cars don't keep it, but I imagine nearly everyone who affirmatively buys a radio keeps the service for an extended period.
Yeah, i think the most important thing about HS isn't the show itself, but him bringing people to satellite radio so they can have a taste of it. I'm not a HS fan, and i've been thinking on going to satellite radio from all the good reviews i've heard about it.
