Well since we are on the topic of equality. Why dont you give me half of that trust fund that your Grand Daddy gave your father from free slave labor.

Are you kidding me?!?!! You are what is wrong with this country!!!!!

Many people with old wealth got it from slavery. Who deserves the money?

I hear blacks say that whites owe them money for reparations. My family has no ties to slavery. Should I be obligated to pay?

What about Al Sharpton who is continuously stirring up the pot and causing trouble? Ironically, his lineage *does* have slave owners in it.

If one had to pay for slavery, who would it be- me, with no ties whatsoever to slavery, or Al Sharptop, with weak ties to slavery?

Al Sharpton's ancestors owned slaves? Is that true or ar eyou confused? Al Sharpton's ancestor was owned by Strom Thurman's great grandfather, or something like that, so I don't know if that's what you are thinking of.

I heard that there may be a genetic link to those families, and that they're not just related due to ownership. link. It might turn out to be false. In any event, my family wasn't even on the continent at this time, so I refuse to pay reparations or apologize for something I didn't do, and my ancestors didn't do.

This is ridiculous... A word itself means nothing, people are the ones who give it meaning... Why everyone thought ------ (how stupid that I cant even write it) is offensive is beyond me... If people started to get offended if you called them "smart" it would soon be banned too heh?

Sticks and stones... I wish everyone would stop worrying about what you can and can't say and just realize that in general, people who use racial epithets are ignorant and should just be ignored. There are much more pressing matters to deal with IMO than the words a bunch of idiots decide to use. It would be much better to deal with a racist mindset through education than by limiting what people can and cannot say. E.g., even if, arguendo, a law banning the use of a certain word, such as the n bobmb, were passed, it would be extremely difficult to enforce this law against anyone except public figures. On the other hand, the federal/state government(s) can mandate that every student in public or private school attend mandatory "racial senstivity" classes each year.

Only if people stop calling us whites. We need to get more PC around here. I'm sick of being called white. It's bad enough I have to tan to be socially accepted in todays anti-white society.

I'm assuming you're from America. Do you really believe for a second that America is anti-white? If so you have obviously never been outside of your neighborhood.

Well I've lost jobs because I was white. There is less aid for college for me because I am white. I can't say things others can say because I'm white. If I act racist on TV, I'll get hit harder because I'm white. If I fight a black man, its a hate crime, not assault. I can go on and on.

There is more discrimination against white males who are armerican citizens then any other race in america. Simply because there are more rich white americans does not mean we are all rich. I've had people call me racist for saying illegal immigrants should be arrested as terrorists. I've been called racist for pointing telling a lady trying to sell me a house that I didn't want to tour it because it was in a bad area. She was black, and assumed I ment a black area. It is not my fault that the area's with the highest crime are also the areas with the highest amount of minorities. I've seen words I do not even consider to be race related suddenly racist, but only if you are white. I see that it is ok to call me a cracker, but I better not call you anything. White males are the fastest growing miniority in america.

If its bad for one race to say it (regardless of context) then why not ban it from all races so theres no double standard.

The context of this applies to the school/work environment. I know there's no way to get passed the social aspects of it, but in school/work, if you can punish one for saying it, why not all?

Noone should ever get "punished" for saying any word. Words don't have meaning, people have meaning.

haha, so do you agree that a white guy shouldn't be punished for (without malice) saying n-gga, but if he is, black persons should receive the same reprimand?
