Company is getting ready to have a meeting, room needs to be setup with tables and chairs.

Female employee says they are waiting on the men so we can "man-handle" the heavy 8 foot long tables.

The women setup the chairs, but did not touch the heavy stuff.

I am a little offended that the male employees were relegated to manual labor, and especially lifting heavy stuff.

I will usually do the heavy lifting automatically if needed before any lady speaks.

But I probably wouldn't have done it if they expect it.....or have an attitude about it etc.

As far as Sexist, naaah bro

I really really hope this is a parody.

That said if this is not a parody you are the biggest wus I have ever encountered on the interweb. Man up and move the fucking tables.

Not a parody, and I moved the stupid tables.

Maybe I should have asked the female employee to fix me a sandwich?

I sure hope no feminist read this thread.
If you actually have a real problem about this request and you don't want to be helpful to a co-worker just because it's the right thing to do, tell them, "Unfortunately I can't help you. I'm not able to move anything over 25 lbs." You don't have to explain that it's your bad attitude that makes you unable.

I'm a 115 lb gal with rheumatoid arthritis and a desk job and if someone asked me to help grab their luggage on a work trip, move a folding table or other object within my abilities during a meeting I would do so simply because it generally pays to be nice to people at work. In fact I hopped up and helped moved tables around in a meeting recently without being asked, while a bunch of guys sat around. I had no problem with that; I'm happy to be seen as a willing and useful person.

Practice gender equality and tell the women to move their own fucking tables.

If Its heavy I wouldn't mind, if its like very damn light to the point that she can do it herself, than we might have sexist problem here.

Gender equality is women getting what they want and men doing all the heavy lifting and making all the money.
