Yesterday dropping my kids off at preschool, there was a play car that was donated and just sitting in the front rather than the back where the play area is. The ones where the kids sit and move with their feet. Of course I sprang into action. There are no male teachers in that preschool at all. I've also seen them helpless with other things like trying to retrieve a flag that somehow blew onto the roof. Surely I don't expect them to be climbing up there.

I swear you've started an almost identical thread last year, but I can't find it.

This is another example of why women shouldn't be in the workplace, outside of the kitchen, or making me a sammich.

Also, OP's man can is revoked...

You don't say anything about this, you store it safely in the back of your mind until some weak brained female starts spouting about gender equality at work and make them look like a hypocrite.

Lifting the table isn't a big deal but it's the principle. Her wanting you to move the table and not even help is just wrong. You're both at work and you all get paid yet only you're suppose to move the table? This isn't right.

Bro.... that's nothing. I'm pretty certain I'm actually being sexually harassed at work. Inappropriate comments/touching nearly every day. I've had discussions with my wife about it, but don't really know what to do. I've made it clear those comments/actions are unwanted, but I don't want to take it to HR because 1. I'm a guy, I'll get laughed at. 2. Repercussions. I can't imagine things will go well for me if I start causing shit with my boss.
You should document the SHIT out of that and go to HR.

OMG guys, like...this guy at work today told me that I must be a "great cook" because I was talking about the steak stir fry I made for dinner yesterday for my roommates.

I could have totally made a thread about sexism...but I just laughed instead because I am a great cook. I also promised to bring some stir fry into work the next time I cook some.

I'm cool at the office. I bet the OP is not cool at the office.

Telling someone they are a "great cook" is sexism now?

This is a true story.

We have a meeting several times a month. The lady at the end of the hall always ask if I can help move the tables. She walks past two women to ask me to help with the tables.

the story may be true...but I can't imagine your reaction as described here to be honest...based on that comment.

that is insane. I honestly didn't think you were that thick. I'm known to have been wrong before, though.

I honesty did not mind helping the lady. I was raised with southern manners, to open the door for a lady, and to yes mam and no mam.

I was hoping some feminist would jump in this thread and post about how women should be carrying their own tables.

oh yes, you guys don't know dick about feminism.

Aren't workplace equality, and doing the same jobs as men part of the feminist movement?

Where are the people who yell about womens rights? I figure some of them would be pissed off that a woman asked a man to move something that is heavy.

Women's rights don't equal you whining about it on a forum. Stand up for yourself! I've been in similar situations and asked women to help as well. When they whine about it, tell them to blame their mothers for burning their bra's 40 years ago. You want equal rights? Here it is.

the hypocrisy of Texashiker is mindblowing

(for those that dont know he is notoriously anti-gay and more than likely racist as well)

That is not true, and I find your comments offensive.

I fully support equal rights and equal responsibility in the workplace; and I support equal rights and equal responsibility for gays.

I think he just wanted us to know how much of a Queen he is in real life.

I have several trees that need to be cut up and stacked on a burning pile. The trees have already been cut down, they just need to be cut up.

When may I expect your help?
