I'm not seeing what you are seeing. The content in the new FB is wider than in the old FB. It isn't by a huge margin, but it is wider.

Agreed, if by new facebook you mean facebook without scrabulous and not the new layout. The new scrabble app blows chunks.

The new layout is ok. It feels less spammy to me so far. Could be wrong.

I thought that was pretty dumb, it was basically "lol tabs are great, go web 2.0! you suck if you don't like it, you don't know anything!!"

My biggest complaint is that more and more Facebook is moving from being a directory, and more and more into a "ohhh wow look at what so and so did yesterday!" page. The fact that the main page of your profile is nothing but your wall and mini feed epitomizes that. I'm tired of "getting used to" changes I don't like, so I'm done with the site. It's really that simple.

Well, since none of my friends who are overseas are ever online at the same time I am, kind of makes it hard to get a hold of them. Especially the ones deployed.

At first I thought it was poorly laid out, but it's grown on me. It's still clean like the last layout but it implements some useful things such as news feed filtering and standardizing of other people's page layouts. Nothing was more annoying than going to someone's page and having to wade through 30 different applications to get to the pictures or wall. I also like how profile information is now divided up into tabs. IMO it makes viewing profiles much better. All-in-all though, I happen to like the new layout.
