Well I still have the old interface. I've tried the new one and even if they did change it back, I do use it for things like free movie screenings and keeping in touch with plans since I don't like using my phone to call and talk to over a dozen people about the same stuff.

You and everyone else will be back..everyone complained when they changed up the wall to what it is now and threatened to leave, everyone threatened to leave when the news feeds started claiming it was an invasion of privacy, and everyone came back, and everyone threatened to leave once they started allowing non-college students to join.

You kids sure love to complain yet never actually do anything about it, I'd love to actually see people leave facebook this time around.

Like all the initial Myspace migrators who complained facebook was too confusing to use, people will adjust within a week and waste hours upon hours poking people and stalking people down..

I'm not in college anymore, I don't use facebook nearly as often as I used to anyway. And people like you saying I can't do it is all the more inspiration to stick to it.

Spoken like a true old timer.

Deeko, I don't know why you complain about the news feed. If it wasn't for the news feed, I wouldn't visit a single person page. Those are really the only people's profiles I look at. If you turned off the notifications on your site, there is a change (and a REALLY good one) that I would never look at your profile. So, I need the feed, otherwise I might as well close my facebook account, since I would do nothing on it.

The people who hate the new one and want the old one back are the same people who think Vista sucks and refuse to use anything other than XP.

It has the opposite effect on me. I used to actually go to people's profiles to look for updates. Now that the news feed tells me these things, I don't, why would I need to? The information is right there.

See above...I've had vista since the first public beta. Next?

Not true. I've been using Vista since Oct. 06 and I hate the new facebook.

I just logged in and don't notice anything different... yet

I hate apps. I hate the news feed. How I long for old Facebook + college only
what do you mean by college only

When facebook started only college students could join, you needed a valid college email from a network they supported
oh, i see... how about alumni? could they join?

i didn't think they email back in the 30s melty....😕

Haha.. What's with all the Facebook bashing? It's a good way to keep in contact with your old friends, or at least have the ability to.

People who have no friends generally choose to see it as immature. I read one post here that said it keeps you in an "early college mentality". Well I'm a college junior, I know married guys who still have it, and it's very useful.

Besides, if a single website is enough to keep you from changing/maturing... you have issues.

It's a website, not a lifestyle. Now ATOT on the other hand... 😀

I certainly don't have current contact information of everyone I ever knew.

This is more convenient. For one, you don't have to keep track if they chance numbers or screen names. It's also nice to know something of what they're doing without picking up the phone. Leaving a comment on their wall and potentially calling them later is much more efficient. Likewise, you can see each others' photos, post links, favorite music, status, etc.

Everyone calls it stalkernet and how it's invading privacy. It's not invading shit. You don't want your stuff to pop up in the news feed? You can easily set it so it doesn't, or just don't enter any real information. But then again, the latter kinda defies the point of having a facebook account.
