So Facebook just permanently switched to the new version of the site. The new version is terrible and I refuse to use it. I guess I'll be on here a lot more now trying to waste time....I'm sure you guys will love that!

you know I know you know you are, deep down, lying to yourself.

I bet by Saturday you will be back on it and business as usual.

yes, resistance is futile. Remember when ppl (like myself) were flaming mad when ATOT decide to make "The Garage" to it sub-forum? and what ever happen to the "3 month trial and see how ppl like it if not we go back to the good old day" period?

dammit....I already boycotted when they started the news feed, too.

I for one don't understand all this fuss about the new interface. With all these random applications and whatnot, the old interface just got too congested. It just takes awhile to get used to, that's all.

I agree. It's much more streamlined than the old one and I love the toolbar on the bottom. At least it's not cluttered junk like myspace (yet).

I hate the new Facebook, and I've thought about quitting too once the switch is permanent. I logged in a few days ago and it was setup with the new Facebook, however it was a simple click to get back to the old version.

Either way its still better than Myspace in my opinion.

It was a little weird to get used to but I like it now. My favorite thing about it is that it moves all that fucking Application garbage to its own tab.

This! FTW!

yeah, i hated it at first, but it's a lot easier to go into someone's page that used to be cluttered up to heck with a bunch of apps and quizzes and such

OP are you posting from a windows 95 machine?

Clever.

Do you think I couldn't adjust if I wanted to? I'm not THAT desperate to get updates on what groups 35 of my friends have joined. I can live without it, I don't like the new site, so I won't use it. Simple as that.

Oh, and for the record, I've been using Vista since one of the first Beta releases.

What's so terrible about the new design? It may need more personal touches, but it's uncluttered and does a much better job of organizing information.

- I don't have to go searching through 20 applications on someone's page to look for a wall to write on anymore. It's immediately there or I can just write straight to the friend's status.
- I've created custom feeds for a specific group of friends that I like to follow.
- I like the size customization options on my own feed. I also like the option to split up my feed and my wall.

I think people are being stubborn on learning the new layout.

It has good things. Getting rid of applications is good, the way they do pictures is much better. However, I HATE that peoples profiles are basically now just a hideous mashing of the mini feed (which I hated from day 1) and their wall. Really?
