Thanks, I needed a high end power supply and this is the one. So I'm going to return my $79 Antec Neopower 480W and get the S12 600W for $106.
 
This ad flickers on and off... it's whacked. I still advise you to get this ASAP because I couldn't find the 500W version for under $119. I don't expect the 600W could stay like this for long...

well I called them up and they told me that they'd give me one for that price when the new shipment comes in. so I suppose its not all bad, although I'll have to wait a few more weeks.
 
Mine shipped today. Ordered late last night. Interesting that people that ordered before me and paid less had theirs cancelled. I paid $124 shipped.

When'd you order? I'm so eagerly waiting for mine. I live in the friggn same area code as ewiz, I bet like 10 min away and they don't allow pickup =(
 
I too just got a cancellation notice this afternoon. Ordered on 7/22. I think I'll try calling them and get a raincheck since I don't need it right away...

Edit: Called them up and they told me "the manufacturer" wouldn't give an eta on the next shipment and that I could not just leave my order in their queue and that I couldn't reserve one at that price for whenever they do get them back in stock. That seems kind of wrong imo but she didn't want to budge.
 
How can they cancel your order... when they are still selling it at a more expensive price? Isnt it still in stock for 130?
 
just what I was about to say. All this crap about it being out of stock, and how they can't leave any orders in the queue until they get it back in. Right. They simply decided to dishonor many orders they both accepted and confirmed at $106. If it's oos, and there can't be a queue for it, why are they now accepting orders at $130?
 
received mine today (I live in CA, paid 106 + tax). Its the newer version with 7 blade fan for those who are wondering. The PSU is whisper quiet, cant even hear it.

That's exactly what I asked the girl on the phone saying that I could order it again at $130 and wanted the $106+tax (live in CA) price. She just said that it was out of stock with no ETA and that my order couldn't sit in queue. I'll probably call them again tomorrow and bug someone other than the actual person that cancelled my order. It's annoying since I ordered the S12-500 from them a few months back and they were very quick to ship and had the best price at the time. ewiz seemed like a good place until this order...

Obviously not out of stock. But this means that the "Very Dissatisfied" ratings En Masse on ResellerRatings will be legit, since its not a "pricing error". Hopefully this was worth it to you eWiz.
 
ewiz' prices are heavily dependent on where you come from. If you come in via froogle, pricewtach or pricegrabber you often get different prices even within that group.

In all likelyhood they fatfingered the program which tunes the prices for the comparision engines and the program gave out prices they didn't want to grant.

A negative round of feedback is in order here, just be sure to give an exact description of what happened.
