Say what you will, but Tebow freaking wins.

You don't need to have an awesome passing IQ and accuracy like ARod when you have God on your side. Stop hatin' on the guy so much and enjoy the 4th quarter.

His passer rating is actually not terrible (around 80), which is on par with Vick, Dalton, Rivers, and Sanchez.

Didn't he get like a 90+ for going 2-8 last week?

Anybody who watched that game yesterday can see he can't pass. The Jets handed him the win in a pretty gift-wrapped box.

I still can't over that TD play.

Yeah. I'm not really sure how going 2-8 for 68 yards and 1 touchdown works out to be a 90+ passer rating.

Because with the new QBR - passes that matter more count more, and 1 of the 2 was a TD pass or 40+ yards. Its not rocket science, its just stats. Stats are what they are, here's some that will blow your mind even more.

First 7 starts in the NFL comparison

Elway
Record: 2-5
Completion % : 44%
Passing Yards: 757
TD/INT: 1-9
QB Rating: 37.2

Tebow 4-3
Completion % : 47%
Passing Yards: 1,177
TD/INT: 10-4
QB Rating: 78.7

Yeah, you're right. Tebow has more potential than Elway did. How could I miss that?

The team that gets Andrew Luck will be so excited to trade him to Denver for Tebow that they'll think they are getting the better QB.

The numbers are what they are, if anything I implied that stats don't mean anything.

But Denver loves Tebow and we like what he's doing for now, and thats all that matters. Anyone who isn't a Bronco's fan that has an opinion is irrelevant.

If anything we hope the haters continue to hate, he feeds on it. I hope teams continue to do like Revis and Rex and fuel his fire. Revis Island boredom FTW!

Enjoy it for now. It's setting your franchise back at least 5 years, but have fun with it while you can.

Uh, anyone who watches any of these games can see that Tebow can hit a good open pass every now and again. See Eric Decker's TD reception when Tebow was 2-8 in that game? Ball was put in excellent position, hitting Decker in stride on his way to the endzone.

You can tell me his accuracy sucks, but often times, a younger passer is going to take time to develop in the game. Some more than others. IF Tebow develops and improves his accuracy to even marginal levels, he could become a legitimate starter. Shit, as of now, he's put his team in position to win several games, and when the win is on the line, he often times does as good as nearly anyone to get them down the field to score.

A lot of things are going in his favor right now, and that could change, but let's not forget, he's a very green passer in the NFL. He's without a doubt the least developed passer in the league right now. And yet he is still managing to pull out W's against good competition. There is so much room for improvement in his throwing that there is reason for Bronco fans to have some hope, as he is already doing well despite being a mediocre passer.

I am no Tebow fan, but I am also not dumb enough to consider Tebow a lost cause. He seems like a smart kid that puts his team in position to win games. He doesn't force passes or throw many picks. He simply goes out, completes around 50% of passes, and runs for 50-100 yards a game, generally scoring a rushing TD in most outings. It may not be pretty, but he is 4 and 1 as a starting QB this season. That's better than Orton who was 1-4 with the same team around him.

regardless of whether you love or hate him, he definitely makes the game more interesting by giving hope for the fans and frustration for the haters.

So you really think Tim Tebow won that game yesterday with his brilliant play?

I don't think this thread is the right place for me; I'm out.

Your right because trading Cutler, BMarsh, Hillis, and all the other stupid decisions McDaniels had already made and other stupid draft pics he already made were setting us up to where we would have been competing so much sooner.

Makes sense.

You don't know what your talking about so just leave it alone.

Good, don't let the door hit you on in your pompous ass 😛

What are you talking about?

Look at this pass

That is terrible 😛

Were we watching the same game? His passes were horrid, he continues to show he has no accuracy. He missed a few open receivers as well, wide open.

Apparently you don't know what timing is. Timing and accuracy go hand in hand. If he had his timing down they would have been accurate as they were where they needed to be, just too soon or too late.

And yes, I've seen every snap that Tebow has taken since he was drafted, including preseason.

The whole Tebow controversy has been great fun for me. I love the fact that the Broncos started winning with him at the helm, and yet it's kind of hard to tell how he's making an impact on the field. Obviously he seems to be able to produce when absolutely necessary, but the rest of the time he can't be doing much if you believe the game stats. I have nothing invested in him one way or the other, but we all love seeing something new and unusual now and then.

Hmmm... trying to find where I said his play was brilliant... nope, can't do it.

Look at the drive that put the Broncos in the lead at the end of the game. Stood strong in the pocket when he could, and ran when he needed to / when the run was open. Drove his team down the field 95 yards to be in the lead.

Brady, Brees, or Manning does it and it's a thing of beauty. Tebow does it and he "got lucky." I dunno, there is only so many times a guy can get "lucky" before you realize it is less about luck and more about other factors. Accuracy may not be one of them, but he certainly has something that other QBs don't. That is not to say I'd want him over a Stafford/Sanchez/Flacco, but simply to say that his unique talents are beneficial to his team.

Fox: "If we were trying to run a regular offense, he'd [Tebow] be screwed."

If you don't have a good mix, the defense will just play run defense and your QB needs to be able to step up and throw at that point. We'll see what happens.

Hey, it's awesome, but he needs to improve. Sooner or later, he will not be able to get those wins because his team is 3 scores behind. What would have happened if the Jets scored 21 points? They would have lost and that last minute drive would have been garbage.

What does The Great Rape of McDaniels have anything to do with Tebow? Just because McDaniels set your franchise back 5 years doesn't mean that Tebow can't as well. I think Elway is smart enough to know that he can't buy in like some of the Denver fans are doing right now until he sees much more consistency in the passing game.

Hard for me to believe people think Tebow is the long term solution (he could be, but it's unlikely), but I guess when you've lost almost every good player on your team, wins must feel good.
